Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • February 2026 cluster-aware Index Advisor expands value across primary-replica Postgres fleets.
  • April 30, 2026 MCP public preview attracted almost 100 early-access companies.
  • January 2026 100-day retention improves historical analysis and strengthens enterprise pricing power.

What critics are saying

  • AWS deprecates Performance Insights on June 30, 2026, inviting CloudWatch Database Insights replacements.
  • The MCP Server exposes data through AI tools, creating governance and leak-risk concerns.
  • Bootstrapped pganalyze lacks funding cushion, so slower enterprise sales strain runway quickly.

What makes pganalyze unique

  • Postgres-only depth: pganalyze ships Index Advisor, Query Advisor, and VACUUM Advisor.
  • Its 2026 MCP Server lets Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor query workload statistics.
  • Enterprise Server supports self-hosted deployments, preserving sensitive production telemetry on-premise.
