Tempo

AI-powered home fitness system with coaching

Overview

Tempo.fit focuses on home fitness using AI and 3D sensors to give real-time, personalized feedback during workouts. Its system includes a workout station with weights and a subscription service offering live and on-demand classes. How it works: the AI analyzes user movements via 3D sensors, adapts workouts to individual fitness levels and goals, and provides immediate guidance to ensure proper form and progression. Tempo differentiates itself by delivering a gym-like, interactive experience at home, combining hardware with a software-backed personalized coaching model, rather than relying on generic routines. The company earns money through upfront sales of the fitness system and ongoing subscription fees for classes. Tempo.fit’s goal is to make personalized, data-driven workouts accessible at home, helping users maintain or improve fitness without going to a traditional gym.

How Tempo turned one coach's music taste into a top-performing station

How Tempo turned one coach's music taste into a top-performing station. February 17, 2026 When it comes to digital fitness, coaches are more than trainers. They're influencers, motivators, and community leaders. Their personalities and tastes build loyalty, and nothing expresses that more immediately than music. That's why Tempo partnered with Feed.fm to launch a trainer-inspired station built around the signature music taste of Head Coach Melissa Boyd. The result: a limited-edition station that became one of the app's top five choices, driving deeper engagement between instructor and audience. The challenge Tempo wanted to celebrate Coach Melissa's anniversary as one of their longest-standing and most-loved coaches. They also wanted to do it in a way that felt meaningful, fresh, and interactive for members. Traditional content campaigns alone wouldn't cut it. The team knew music could play a unique role. Fans already associated Coach Melissa with a high-energy experience. So Tempo turned to Feed.fm to help transform that identity into something scalable that could drive engagement across the app. The solution Feed.fm collaborated with Coach Melissa and the Tempo content team to curate a limited-edition trainer-inspired station. - Music selections were inspired directly by Coach Melissa's taste, including artists like Jamie xx, Barry Can't Swim, and IDLES. - The Feed.fm curation team went to work to deliver a complete station full of tracks that were clean (no explicit content), cleared, and on-brand. - The launch aligned with her anniversary as a coach, making it both celebratory and timely. - The station was added to the app's music menu, with the selected station visible at the start of each of her classes and a dropdown option if members wanted to change it. This combination of personal tastes + expert curation made the station authentic to the coach while still aligned to brand tone and licensing requirements. The results The trainer-inspired station quickly became one of the top five stations in the app. Members loved hearing what inspired their coach. It created a sense of connection and exclusivity, as if they were working out with her in real time. For the brand: it was a marketing win, giving them a fresh story to tell around personalization and community. "It was great to be able to add some of our coaches personal flair to our music selection. It gave us a chance to highlight them while giving the users a special gift too." - Clarence Hairston-Bellotti, Director of Content Operations, Tempo For the trainer: it elevated her profile, showing her influence extended beyond workouts. "This playlist is what I work out to when I need motivation, momentum, and good energy so it was nice to be able to give the users a glimpse into that." - Melissa Boyd, Head Coach, Tempo For users: it was another reason to return to the app, stay engaged, and feel part of something bigger. "Coach Melissa per my request. Can we keep her playlist on the music because it's the best!" Tempo member Why it worked This project highlights a powerful strategy: launching limited-edition radio stations as a way to celebrate coaches, mark milestones, and give marketing teams a fresh angle to drive awareness. These stations go beyond novelty. They're sticky, measurable, and personal. They boost app metrics while deepening emotional bonds between users, trainers, and the brand. And they're only possible with a partner like Feed.fm who can combine expert curation, licensing, and product integration. Tempo succeeded in boosting retention, celebrating one of their top coaches, and giving users something new to engage with. Feed.fm helps brands build these moments with the right mix of curation, licensing, and tech integration, so your users don't just show up, they keep coming back. Learn about custom music solutions

Tempo Introduces “Fitness Refund” To Relieve Consumers From Unused Gym Memberships This Tax Season

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, just in time for tax season, Tempo is introducing a “Fitness Refund” for consumers wasting money on unused gym memberships. For those looking to experience a more convenient and flexible fitness option, the refund offering will cover the cost of an average gym cancellation fee when they sign up for Tempo Training to try a more personalized way to work out in the comfort of home. Every January, tens of thousands of Americans join a gym or recommit to going to one they already pay for. However, it’s certainly not the only way to work out. For many, commuting to the gym and planning what exercises to do hinders their ability to stay consistent and reach their fitness goals. By the time tax season in April arrives, gym-goers’ frequency declines, resulting in an estimated $397 million lost on unused gym memberships over the course of a year
