Agile Space Industries designs and manufactures in-space chemical propulsion thrusters using additive manufacturing. Its products are propulsion systems and spacecraft components built with 3D printing to enable reliable performance in space. The company partners with space-industry customers to ensure mission success and is expanding its production capabilities to meet growing demand, including lunar missions. Formed in 2019 from the merger of Agile Space Propulsion and Advanced Mobile Propulsion Test, it has grown through acquisitions such as Tronix3D in 2021 to broaden its capabilities. Unlike competitors that rely on traditional manufacturing methods, Agile Space emphasizes additive manufacturing to produce complex propulsion hardware and maintains close collaborations with customers to tailor solutions. Its goal is to provide dependable propulsion hardware for space missions and to scale capacity to support a wide range of spacecraft, satellites, and launch-vehicle applications.

Agile Space Industries has closed a $17 million Series A round led by Caruso Ventures and Howdy Partners, with participation from Lockheed Martin Ventures, Veteran Ventures Capital, Denver Ventures and Cortado Ventures. The funding brings total capital raised to approximately $40 million. The propulsion systems manufacturer, which has been cash positive for 18 months, will use the funds to expand manufacturing and testing capacity to meet growing demand. Orders have increased from 35 thrusters in early days to hundreds and potentially thousands of units, according to CEO Chris Pearson. Agile has grown from 50 employees in 2023 to over 130 today and is building a new test facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The company has $60 million in contracted backlog and recently won contracts for spacecraft including The Exploration Company's Nyx and Firefly's lunar programme.
Agile Space Industries will build a space test center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to meet the demand from NASA, commercial space companies and the Department of Defense for advanced in-space rocket engine testing capabilities.
