Access Vascular

Manufactures biocompatible vascular access catheters

Overview

Access Vascular develops vascular access devices to reduce complications from IV therapy. Its HydroPICC and HydroMID use the MIMIX biomaterial, a hydrophilic polymer that is designed to minimize the body's foreign body response and clotting on catheter surfaces, without coatings. The products are FDA-cleared, sold to hospitals and clinics, and have shown up to 97% less thrombus formation than conventional catheters in preclinical tests. The goal is to improve patient outcomes, extend catheter life, reduce replacements, and lower healthcare costs for healthcare systems.
