Overview

Albedo develops low-flying satellites that capture high-resolution visible and thermal imagery. Their satellites provide 10cm resolution for visible imagery and 2m for thermal imagery, which is the highest quality available commercially. This imagery is useful for various industries such as mapping, insurance, utilities, agriculture, and national security. Albedo's goal is to make aerial quality imagery accessible and easy to purchase, allowing clients to obtain precise data for informed decision-making. Unlike competitors, Albedo focuses on transparency in tasking and aims to spur market growth by offering unparalleled resolution and accessibility in satellite imagery.

Albedo raises $100M at $285M valuation

Satellite imagery startup Albedo is raising a Series B funding round, valuing the company at $285 million pre-money. Led by General Innovation Capital, the round will bring in nearly $100 million. Albedo, which launched its first satellite, Clarity-1, and secured a $12 million US Air Force contract, has raised privacy concerns due to its high-resolution imagery capabilities. Founded in 2020, Albedo's investors include Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Y Combinator.

Grande Fratello Spaziale. I Satelliti Spioni Di Una Startup Usa
