Ampcontrol provides a vendor-neutral software platform for energy management that helps utilities optimize residential electricity use, especially for electric vehicles and home energy storage. The product integrates and visualizes energy loads across devices and optimizes charging, storage, and load shifting to reduce peak demand, particularly from 5–9 PM, while avoiding grid constraints and boosting renewable use. It differs from some competitors by being hardware-agnostic and working with multiple vendors and platforms, avoiding lock-in to a single ecosystem. The goal is to improve grid efficiency, lower peak demand, and enable higher renewable penetration through smart residential load management.
