Arbor Energy removes CO2 from the atmosphere using Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage (BiCRS), which couples natural carbon drawdown with engineered storage to ensure the carbon stays stored. It operates worldwide and sells carbon removal credits while also signing multi-year offtake agreements with governments, companies, and organizations to provide predictable revenue. The company focuses on scalable, permanent carbon removal and highlights energy security, resource circularity, and integrating nature into urban spaces as part of its climate solution. By 2050, Arbor Energy targets removing more than 2 gigatons of CO2 per year.

Arbor Energy partners with GridMarket to deliver up to 5GW of power for US data center market. Will support the deployment of Arbor's 25MW modular turbine solution March 26, 2026 US power systems firm Arbor Energy has signed an agreement with energy optimization platform GridMarket to deliver up to 5GW of power to the data center sector, with supply expected to begin in 2029. The deal will target data center operators and other industrial customers, offering a shorter deployment cycle than other power alternatives. To shorten timelines, Arbor has adopted a modular approach to power generation through its 25MW Halycon turbine. The turbines are adapted from rocket turbomachinery and can run on fuels ranging from natural gas to biomass-derived syngas. The turbines are also modular by design and come as a pre-assembled unit, using 3D printing to reduce manufacturing complexity. Systems can be deployed individually or combined into larger installations, depending on demand. "Power availability is quickly becoming the gating factor for data center and industrial development," said Nick Davis, CEO of GridMarket. "Our customers are increasingly looking for ways to secure new capacity faster than traditional generation timelines allow. Arbor's system adds a new option for bringing baseload power online as demand continues to grow." Alongside the agreement, Arbor announced the appointment of Nishad Pai as chief commercial officer. He previously led business development and partnerships at Heirloom, and has held roles at Google, Amazon, YouTube, and Adobe. "I've spent much of my career helping bring new technologies to market, from large-scale software platforms to emerging energy solutions," said Pai. "What drew me to Arbor is the opportunity to apply that experience to one of the biggest challenges ahead: building more power infrastructure faster. I'm excited to help bring new capacity online at the scale and speed the market demands." Arbor plans to scale production over the coming decade, targeting more than 100 turbines shipped annually by 2030, equivalent to over 1GW of new capacity each year. The additional generation is expected to support data centers, manufacturers, and utilities seeking additional baseload supply and improved grid resilience. More in behind-the-meter.
Arbor Energy has secured an order from GridMarket for up to 5 gigawatts of its modular turbines, worth single-digit billions of dollars. The deal represents 200 units of Arbor's 25-megawatt Halcyon turbines, based on rocket turbomachinery technology. The startup plans to connect its first turbine to the grid in 2028 and eventually produce 10 gigawatts of new capacity annually. Halcyon turbines use 3D-printed parts and can run on both biomass and natural gas, producing pure CO2 that can be captured and stored. When running on biomass, the turbines generate carbon-negative power. Arbor has raised $295 million to date. The company aims to deliver power faster than traditional turbine manufacturers, which currently face delays until 2032 due to supply chain constraints.
Arbor Energy has signed an agreement with GridMarket to deliver up to 5 gigawatts of zero-emission power starting in 2029. GridMarket facilitates energy infrastructure projects for data centres, manufacturers and logistics providers. Arbor's 25-megawatt HALCYON turbine is a pre-assembled, 3D-printed unit designed to reduce manufacturing complexity and shorten deployment timelines. The fuel-flexible system runs on zero-emission natural gas with capability for negative-emission operation. Units can be deployed individually or combined into larger plants. The company plans to ship over 100 turbines annually by 2030, representing more than 1 gigawatt of new capacity each year. Arbor has also appointed Nishad Pai, formerly of Heirloom, as chief commercial officer. Backed by Lowercarbon Capital and Voyager Ventures, Arbor is headquartered in El Segundo, California.
GridMarket partners with Arbor Energy to expand access to zero-emission power for data centers and hyperscalers. Arbor commits to supplying 5GW of generation for energy-intensive users in the GridMarket pipeline. NEW YORK, March 25, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - GridMarket, a leading provider of end-to-end power sourcing and strategy for high-demand infrastructure, today announced a strategic partnership with Arbor, a clean power company. Through the partnership, Arbor is targeting the supply of 5 GW of baseload power starting in 2029 for infrastructure projects in GridMarket's pipeline of data center owners, land developers, and hyperscalers. As data center demand accelerates and grid constraints intensify, power availability has become one of the most critical challenges facing the industry. GridMarket works directly with utilities, generation providers, and technology innovators to ensure its significant pipeline of clients has preferred access not only to traditional power solutions, but also to new and emerging technologies capable of supporting long-term growth and sustainability goals. "Data center operators are actively seeking alternative, reliable energy solutions to meet power and growth demands," said Nick Davis, GridMarket CEO. "We focus on identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and providing the data center and hyperscaler customers in our pipeline with preferred access to these solutions and generation. Arbor Energy's technology stands out as a compelling solution, and our partnership reflects our commitment to delivering scalable, cleaner power options." Arbor is building clean, baseload power systems for energy-intensive customers, including data centers, hyperscalers, and industrial operators. Its 25-megawatt (MW) HALCYON turbine leverages oxy-combustion and sCO2 technology to deliver scalable, fuel-flexible power with zero operating emissions. Systems can be deployed individually or combined into larger plants as demand grows, avoiding the long lead times associated with bespoke, legacy turbine builds. "Working with GridMarket gives us a direct path to customers and helps accelerate our deployment," said Brad Hartwig, CEO and Co-Founder of Arbor Energy. "They have a deep understanding of large-scale energy demand and procurement, and their reach makes them a strong partner as we bring our turbines to market." GridMarket's platform and advisory services help clients navigate the full power lifecycle from temporary and gap power solutions to long-term generation procurement and clean energy integration. By partnering with emerging technology providers, GridMarket continues to strengthen its position as a single source for both traditional power infrastructure and next-generation clean energy solutions. The partnership reinforces GridMarket's role as a trusted market-facing partner focused on actively identifying, validating, and structuring both proven and next-generation power solutions, and showcases Arbor as a leader in innovative, flexible power generation to meet the rapidly evolving needs of energy-intensive infrastructure.
