Arevon Energy focuses on developing, managing, and optimizing renewable energy assets like solar, wind, and energy storage for utilities, corporations, and independent project owners. Its main work is long-term asset-management contracts that handle the development, operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of large clean-energy assets. The company’s offerings are demonstrated by big projects and partnerships, such as a Tesla Megapack storage agreement and storage/solar deployments that enable grid stability and city-scale power supply. Unlike many players that only build projects, Arevon emphasizes ongoing asset management and optimization over the life of a project, leveraging technology and partnerships to maximize uptime, efficiency, and financial performance. The goal is to help clients meet sustainability goals, regulatory requirements, and reliable energy supply by delivering scalable, managed renewable energy assets.

Arevon Energy's 1,200MWh California BESS begins operations. August 13, 2026 Renewable energy developer-operator Arevon Energy has put its 300MW/1,200MWh Nighthawk Energy Storage Project in Poway, California, US into operation. Announced on 12 August, Nighthawk is the largest battery energy storage system (BESS) in Arevon's portfolio. It uses Tesla Megapack systems, which utilise lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, and was celebrated with an on-site ribbon cutting ceremony featuring project partners, local officials, business leaders, and community members. Arevon developed, constructed, owns, and operates the project, which is under a long-term agreement with utiliy Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Arevon claimed that over its lifetime, Nighthawk is expected to generate over US$30 million in property tax revenue which will help fund local schools, public safety, infrastructure improvements, and other community services. The company also claimed that during peak construction, Nighthawk employed over 130 workers and generated economic activity for local businesses and the surrounding community. Nighthawk was part of a series of projects stemming from California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) directives requiring the state's load-serving entities, including utilities, to procure additional energy resources to strengthen the grid. Arevon began construction on the project last summer, and told Energy-Storage.news that it acquired the project in 2020. "[Independent power producer] Tenaska was the greenfield developer of the Nighthawk project. In 2020, Arevon acquired from Tenaska the Falcon portfolio, which included Nighthawk and eight other standalone BESS projects in California, and partnered with them on developing these projects. In September 2023, after staffing up our internal development team, Arevon took over development of Nighthawk and the rest of the Falcon projects". Arevon also highlighted its community engagement activities while developing the project, stating that it partnered with organisations throughout Poway and the greater San Diego community to support youth programmes, first responders, special needs adult services, climate education, and local non-profit organisations. In March, Arevon closed a US$920 million financing package for Nighthawk, including a US$482 million debt facility coordinated by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) as the lead arranger, with contributions from ING Capital LLC, NORD/LB, Santander, and Zions Bancorporation. The financing also included a US$169 million preferred equity investment, arranged with Goldman Sachs Alternatives, to streamline the monetisation of tax credits, and a US$268 million tax credit transfer agreement with a corporate buyer. Also in March, Arevon began building its 250MW/1,000MWh Cormorant BESS project in Daly City, California. It is expected to come online in 2027 and has a long-term offtake agreement with utility MCE Community Choice Energy. Solar generating and storage development at Croton-Harmon train station acquired. Altus Power, which is based in Stamford, has acquired a solar generating and battery storage facility at the Croton-Harmon train station in Croton-on-Hudson from Arevon, an energy company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Arevon had worked on developing the project with Sol Systems of Washington, D.C., which served as the project developer, construction manager and asset manager. When asked by Westfair's Westchester County Business Journal, a spokesperson for Altus declined to disclose the purchase price. The solar generating project at the train station features canopies with about 10,000 solar panels over certain areas where cars are parked that can produce 4.2 million watts of electricity. There is a battery storage system that can store 15 megawatt hours of electricity, enough to supply a million watts of electricity for 15 hours. The project will deliver the solar-generated electricity to customers that include Columbia University, which will be buying it through Con Edison, residential apartment buildings and a local medical center. "Battery storage is essential to a stable, reliable and cost-effective energy grid," said Abhi Parmar, chief investment officer of Altus Power. "As the industry rapidly evolves, Altus is committed to the implementation and build out for our stakeholders in New York." Altus said that the acquisition reflects a strategy of expanding its portfolio with high-quality assets that combine solar generation with storage. The company now owns and operates more than 80 projects that produce a total of approximately 266 megawatts of electricity in New York state. It has facilities in 30 states and the District of Columbia. The Croton-Harmon solar project at the train station began in 2020 when the Village of Croton-on-Hudson released a Request for Proposals for the installation of solar canopies at the station. It was sent to 168 solar contractors. A total of seven proposals were received. Croton-on-Hudson's Sustainability Committee, village staff and the Village Board of Trustees reviewed the various proposals and ultimately signed a lease agreement with Sol Systems. Before construction began, the project went through reviews including by the Village Planning Board, Village Zoning Board of Appeals, Village Waterfront Advisory Committee and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Construction was delayed by Covid and began in late 2022. Beginning in December of 2024, Sol Systems and its successor Arevon began making lease payments to the village, which are expected to total about $12 million over the 25-year lease that covers use of the parking lot site.
