Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) has completed an EGP 1.307bn securitisation issuance for B.TECH, serving as exclusive financial adviser, lead arranger, issuance manager, promoter and underwriter for the transaction. The single-tranche issuance carries a 12-month maturity and is the third under B.TECH's 14th securitisation programme, part of a two-year EGP 10bn approved programme. The Middle East Rating & Investors Service assigned the tranche a "P1" credit rating, citing the portfolio's strength and comprehensive guarantees. CIB participated in the subscription alongside investment funds managed by CI Asset Management and Arab African Investment Management. The transaction marks the continuation of a partnership that typically executes approximately three securitisation operations annually between the two parties.
B.tech's financial technology subsidiary Myla has completed a second securitisation bond issuance worth EGP 1.76 billion after obtaining regulatory approvals. The issuance includes 12-month maturity tranches, with EG Bank serving as bond custodian. The funding supports Myla's expansion strategy for digital financing solutions and follows its successful first issuance. CEO Mohamed Khattab said the achievement reflects institutional confidence in the company's business model and financing portfolio quality whilst supporting plans to expand its user base and merchant partnerships. Myla is among Egypt's first consumer finance companies to receive full digital registration approval and a fintech licence from the Financial Regulatory Authority. The company offers flexible instalment plans of up to 48 months across more than 5,000 brands in over 15 categories.
