Diablo 4 revamps Mythic items to welcome casual players in upcoming season.

Diablo 4 revamps Mythic items to welcome casual players in upcoming season. Blizzard continues to refine Diablo 4's loot system. Blizzard Entertainment is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to overhauling Diablo 4's core mechanics. Following extensive feedback from the community since the game's launch, the development tEam has been consistently working to improve the loot and itemization systems that form the backbone of any great Action RPG. The upcoming season promises to deliver one of the most significant shake-ups yet, specifically targeting how Mythic items function in the game. What changes are coming to Mythic items? According to the latest details from the game's Public Test Realm (PTR), Mythic Uniques are receiving substantial adjustments designed to make these coveted items more accessible to casual players. Previously, acquiring Mythic items was an endgame endeavor reserved for the most dedicated players with dozens of hours invested. The new system appears to be lowering the barrier to entry while maintaining the special status these items hold in the game's hierarchy. The exact mechanics of these changes are being fine-tuned during the PTR phase, but early indications suggest that Blizzard is implementing a more approachable pathway for players to obtain and utilize these powerful items. This approach aligns with Blizzard's recent philosophy of making high-level content more accessible without diminishing the sense of achievement that comes with acquiring top-tier gear. Why this matters for casual players. For casual players who might have felt that the best items in Diablo 4 were permanently out of reach, these changes represent a significant shift in the game's design philosophy. By making Mythic items more attainable, Blizzard is acknowledging that not all players can dedicate hundreds of hours to grinding but still want to experience the power fantasy that comes with wielding the game's most legendary equipment. This adjustment could potentially reinvigorate the player base, as those who had previously hit a progression wall may now find new motivation to dive back into Sanctuary. The change also creates a more balanced experience where skill and strategy can potentially overcome sheer time investment, making the game more welcoming to a broader audience. The bigger picture: Diablo 4's evolution. These Mythic item modifications are part of Blizzard's larger effort to continuously refine Diablo 4 based on community feedback. The developers have demonstrated their commitment to improving the game experience with each season, addressing pain points and enhancing the aspects that players love most. This iterative approach shows that Blizzard views Diablo 4 not as a static release but as a living game that evolves with its community. If you're looking forward to diving into these changes or experiencing all that Diablo 4 has to offer, remember that you can find Diablo 4 game codes and other Blizzard products at TURGAME.com, where competitive pricing and instant delivery make it easy to jump into the action.

Diablo 4 is getting A long-awaited solo mode next season.

Diablo 4 is getting A long-awaited solo mode next season. Diablo 4 players looking for even more of a challenge will be able to create Solo-Self-Found characters starting in Season 14. Developer Blizzard revealed Diablo 4's Solo-Self-Found (or SSF) mode as part of its Season 14 public test realm patch notes, offering the first details on all the new seasonal mechanics, item reworks, and balance changes coming to the ARPG for its upcoming season. For those not in the know, SSF is a mode that's gained popularity over the years in the ARPG community across different games. It forces players to play solo, disabling the ability to team up with others to tackle more difficult challenges. More importantly, it also restricts players to only using gear they find themselves. That means no trading with other players or using an in-game auction house to buy better gear. In Diablo 4's case, SSF characters will be seasonal-only, and won't be able to join parties or trade with others. Stashes, currencies, and Paragon points will be shared only with other SSF characters on the same account. Additionally, SSF characters won't have access to the game's free trial, couch co-op on consoles, or multiplayer-focused Dark Citadel activity. SSF characters will be locked into the mode for the duration of the season. Once the season ends, they will revert into normal characters that can group and trade as usual. Those hoping for some kind of benefit to rolling a SSF character, such as increased rewards or better item drop rates (as is the case in some other ARPGs like Last Epoch) to make up for the fact that trading is disabled are out of luck. There will be no real benefit to playing Solo Self Found, other than access to SSF-only Tower leaderboards. And bragging rights, of course. SSF is just one major shakeup coming as part of Diablo 4 Season 14. In addition to the return of Riftwalkers as a seasonal mechanic and a new Lair Boss, Season 14 will also controversially overhaul how Diablo 4's Mythic Uniques work. Instead of Mythics being the best items in the game as they currently are, any Ancestral Unique item will instead have a chance to roll as Mythic quality, though this change also means Mythic Uniques will now have largely random affixes. Season 14 will bring major changes to some of Diablo 4's most powerful builds as well. One trick allowing players to become practically immortal is being nerfed, for example, while some popular builds, like Companion Druids, are also being brought down a peg. Diablo 4 Season 14's PTR will run June 2-9, allowing players to get a taste of the new season and all its changes (and offer feedback to Blizzard) before it officially kicks off June 30.

Tank tuning, class fixes, Prey improvements: Midnight 12.0.5 hotfixes, may 12th.

Tank tuning, class fixes, Prey improvements: Midnight 12.0.5 hotfixes, may 12th. May 13th, 2026 by Starym Icy Veins has a big hotfix batch to start off the reset. The tank tuning pass is here, with a few other class fixes as well. There's also quite a few Prey improvements, PvP changes, players can purchase additional Housing decor copies from the Roofus bundle, and more. Blizzard also announced tuning changes to Ascendant Voidshard drop rates, with more difficult content getting buffs and the general drop rate getting a nerf. You can find the full details here. Achievements * Abyss Anglers: Depth Grease no longer requires the Reinforced Joints upgrade. * Death Knight * Blood * Developers' notes: Icy Veins is looking at smoothing out the damage intake of Blood outside of their cooldown window by increasing the consistency and uptime of their Apex Talent. To further help these windows of high damage intake Icy Veins is also increasing their Health and Death Strike healing. * Dancing Rune Weapon grants 25% Parry (was 20%). * Blood Fortification grants 40% Stamina (was 35%). * Improved Death Strike healing increased to 15% (was 5%). * Dance of Midnight grants Dancing Rune Weapon for 8 seconds (was 6 seconds). * Dance of Midnight chance to proc increased to 12.5% (was 10%). * Unholy * Death and Decay can now be tracked in the cooldown manager. * Demon Hunter * Vengeance * Developers' notes: Vengeance Demon Hunter's baseline defenses are its most lacking, while cooldown availability and values are currently serving the spec well. As a result, Icy Veins will be primarily targeting core values for Health and damage reduction, with an additional smaller increase specifically to Armor. * Demonic Wards now reduces all damage taken by 12% (was 8%). * Thick Skin now grants 55% increased Stamina (was 50%). * Effectiveness of Mastery: Fel Blood increased by 20%. * Void Reaver now causes Frailty to reduce damage taken by 5% (was 4%). * Druid * Guardian * Thrash direct damage reduced by 25%. * Elune's Favored now heals for 15% of Arcane damage dealt (was 25%). * Developers' notes: These changes aim to bring this build closer to its expected output: high-damage relative to other tanks, but not abnormally so. Recent previous adjustments to Guardian have made the Elune's Chosen build stronger than intended. With this tuning, Icy Veins is choosing to not break the Elune's Chosen build or require the Apex talent. Icy Veins has further plans to update the Guardian Apex Talent in a future patch to give Icy Veins more flexibility with it and alleviate some of the current pain points for Druids. * Hunter * Marksmanship * Corrected an issue where Explosive Shot applied from the Salvo talent did not properly grant Lock and Load from the Shrapnel Shot talent when applied. * Paladin * Protection * Developers' notes: With these changes, Icy Veins is aiming to improve baseline durability for Protection Paladins by increasing passive effects which contribute to effective health. Icy Veins is also addressing on-demand survivability with adjustments to defensive cooldown coverage and strength. * Blessing of Dusk reduces damage taken by up to 20%, increasing as your health decreases (was 10%). * Sanctified Plates increases stamina by 7/15% (was 5/10%). * Ardent Defender duration increased to 12 seconds (was 8 seconds). * Ardent Defender now reduces damage taken by 30% (was 20%). * Sentinel duration increased to 20 seconds (was 16 seconds). * Shaman * Restoration * Corrected an issue where Downpour would consume Nature's Swiftness and Ancestral Swiftness. * Warlock * Diabolist: Fixed an issue where Diabolic Oculi would target creatures that are not in combat with their summoner. * Warrior * Protection * Developers' notes: Protection melee damage mitigation is quite strong, but is a bit behind for magical attacks and damage-over-time effects. These changes are aimed at strengthening those areas as well as making it easier to maintain healthy Ignore Pain values. * Fight Through Flames reduces magic damage taken by 6% (was 4%). * Phalanx reduces damage enemies deal to you by 8% (was 5%). * Ignore Pain effectiveness increased by 8%. * Light spores in Sunkiller Sanctum should no longer interrupt channeled spells. * Players who purchased the Roofus bundle can now buy additional copies of the decor in that bundle from promotional decor resupply vendors in Stormwind (Tuuran), Orgrimmar (Gabbi), and Silvermoon City (Dennia Silvertongue). * Fixed an issue where the Dundun's Abundant Travel Method toy would teleport players to the incorrect location. * Fixed an issue preventing weapons and trinkets crafted before 12.0.5 from being eligible for Ascendant Voidcore upgrades. * Removed the once per week restriction on Preferential Killing which generates a hunt with custom parameters. Players may complete Custom Hunts as often as desired after reaching rank 10 in the Season 1 Prey Journey, but subsequent Custom Hunts in a week give reduced rewards. * Increased Prey hunt progress gained from completing World Quests, defeating Ambushes, delivering Ripostes, and interacting with Remnants of Anguish. * Removed Hunter's Momentum from Hard and Nightmare mode Prey hunts. * Significantly increased the number of the Coalescing Anguish spawns in the outdoor world. Player versus Player * Significantly increased rating gains from completing 2v2, 3v3, and Solo Shuffle matches. * Developers' notes: This adjustment is intended to meaningfully improve progression as the season continues to support healthier ladder movement. Icy Veins'll continue to monitor rating distribution and make further adjustments if needed. Void Assaults * Increased the progress gained for certain Void Assault steps.

"As of January 2026... Drew Murray is now working on the StarCraft shooter" - this report could be the clearest sign yet that the project is moving forward. By Adam Hales published 56 minutes ago Fresh insight into Blizzard's StarCraft shooter suggests experienced talent is being assembled, with Drew Murray of the now closed The Initiative joining as associative design director. In a recent podcast, its Executive Editor at Windows Central and my colleague Jez Corden spoke about the rumored StarCraft shooter currently in development. According to Jez, the project may already be assembling a strong team. This includes former The Initiative design director Drew Murray, who is now working at Blizzard as of January 2026, according to his own LinkedIn. With that in mind, let's go over what was said and add some context around Murray's background. Article continues below Latest Videos From Windows Central For those not in the know, Drew Murray has a rather lengthy portfolio behind him, from serving as a design director at The Initiative, Xbox's now closed studio that was working on Perfect Dark, to later moving to Insomniac Games, where he became a design director on Spider-Man 2 and an unannounced project. He has since taken on a new role as an associate design director at Blizzard Entertainment, and thanks to comments from Jez, Windows Central's Jez Co now know a little bit more about what his role there might entail. In a recent episode of Jez and Rand's XB2 podcast, Jez detailed that Drew Murray had joined Blizzard Entertainment back in January of this year, and may be working on the elusive StarCraft shooter currently in development. During the podcast, Jez states: Jez further elaborates, saying: "Since January 2026, he's been an associate design director at Blizzard Entertainment, and I've heard that he's working on the StarCraft shooter. Don't know if it's true or if he's working on something else, but he is at Blizzard and I have heard he's working on that." Well, there you have it, that's all Windows Central's Jez Co know for now. While the project has reportedly been in development for at least over two years, Windows Central's Jez Co don't really know much else and Windows Central's Jez Co'll likely still be waiting a while before Blizzard is ready to show anything. Let me know your thoughts on Drew Murray potentially working on the StarCraft shooter, and whether you even care about a StarCraft shooter at all. And as always, make sure to take part in its poll! What do you think? Are you interested in a StarCraft shooter? Yes, it sounds promising Maybe, depends what it's like No, I'm not interested I want to see the game first Contributor Adam is a Psychology Master's graduate passionate about gaming, community building, and digital engagement.
