Overview

Bridger Aerospace provides aerial firefighting and wildfire management services to government agencies using a fleet of specialized aircraft and drones. The company operates "Super Scooper" planes that skim water from lakes to drop on fires, alongside surveillance aircraft that use thermal imaging and mapping tools to coordinate ground and air crews. Unlike many competitors, it manages the world's largest private fleet of these amphibious scoopers and applies military-style close air support tactics to wildfire suppression. Its goal is to provide a year-round, technology-driven solution for federal and state entities to combat increasingly severe wildfire seasons.

Redwire upgraded to Buy with $15 target as backlog hits $411M despite 25% yearly decline

Truist has upgraded Redwire (RDW) to Buy from Hold with a $15 price target, whilst Canaccord reaffirmed its Buy rating on Bridger Aerospace (BAER) despite trimming its target to $5. Redwire currently trades at $9.05, down 24.96% over the past year. Truist's upgrade centres on improved programme mix and confidence that estimate-at-completion charges will moderate. The company's Q4 book-to-bill ratio reached 1.52, with a record contracted backlog of $411.25 million. New CFO Chris Edmunds has set 2026 revenue guidance between $450 million and $500 million. Bridger Aerospace trades at $2.14 and is guiding for $140 million in revenue. Both analysts maintain that near-term execution issues have overshadowed longer-term aerospace sector positioning.
