This acquisition grants Futureverse access to Candy's brand portfolio, including Major League Baseball, Netflix, and DC Comics, and its 4 million digital collectibles. Futureverse plans to integrate its tech with Candy's IP partnerships to enhance brand loyalty. The company, valued at $1 billion, aims to build immersive experiences despite waning interest in the metaverse and NFTs. Financial terms were not disclosed.
