July 2026 recap: Chainlink powers World prediction market, $7.2B+ migrates from LayerZero to CCIP. August 3, 2026 Chainlink continues to accelerate prediction markets as one of the fastest-growing sectors in global finance, with a projected $1 trillion annual trading volume by 2030. In July, Solana launched its premier prediction market, World, which partnered with Chainlink to provide high-speed market data and immediate resolution. World launched on Phantom, Solana's most popular non-custodial crypto wallet, and opened with markets spanning crypto prices and the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup. World leverages the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) and Chainlink Data Streams to enhance its Solana-native markets as they expand into sports, politics, macroeconomics, and culture. On an episode of The Edge Podcast, Chainlink Labs' Chief Business Officer, Johann Eid, explained why prediction markets such as Polymarket, Myriad, Jupiter Exchange, Kalshi, and ADI Predictstreet, which regularly process up to $24 billion in monthly trading volume, require Chainlink's secure-by-default oracle infrastructure to operate globally at scale. "Prediction markets cannot exist if you don't know what has happened and Chainlink has been building the infrastructure to say 'that's what happened' for the last seven years. It's a big focus for us and a lot of the market is moving to this type of resolution through decentralized oracles." More than $7.2 billion in protocol value has now migrated from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), following a LayerZero exploit that resulted in nearly $300 million in losses across DeFi. Mantle, Ethereum's largest L2 with ZK proofs, is migrating its native cross-chain infrastructure, the Mantle Super Portal, from LayerZero to CCIP. The Super Portal, co-developed with Bybit, will leverage CCIP to strengthen the security of Mantle's $2.5 billion utility and governance token, MNT, as it moves between different blockchain networks. Yuzu Money, a decentralized yield protocol with institutional-grade risk management, also adopted CCIP as its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure. The migration replaces Yuzu Money's previous LayerZero OFT bridging integration and unlocks the secure expansion and distribution of assets across DeFi's multi-chain ecosystem. CCIP is also key to Lombard Finance's Bitcoin Onchain Credit Strategy, a new allocation within the Bitcoin Earn automated yield product. As the only interoperability standard to achieve ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, CCIP unlocks multi-chain distribution for the Strategy, which establishes a novel source of Bitcoin-denominated yield driven by real financing activity. Following an updated Aave Risk Framework that scored CCIP as the most secure cross-chain infrastructure for governing all assets, Aave expanded its use of CCIP to Aave App, a consumer-facing mobile savings application that lets users earn high-yield returns without any technical knowledge. Instead of manual bridge and deposit actions, CCIP powers cross-chain vault rebalancing, deposits, and transfers in the background using a single interface. United Stables, a leading digital asset infrastructure provider, adopted Chainlink as the official data and cross-chain infrastructure to scale the $1 billion U stablecoin, designed to unify liquidity across trading, payments, DeFi, institutional settlement, and AI-driven autonomous systems. The integration includes Chainlink Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve, with plans to integrate CCIP in the near future. Chainlink is bringing the $1.69 trillion U.S. auto loan market to DeFi via AUTO, the first permissionless RWA backed by near-prime U.S. auto loan yield. Issued by Hastra, AUTO is secured by Chainlink Data Streams on Kamino, the largest DeFi lending protocol on Solana with over $1 billion in TVL. AUTO gives Kamino users direct access to auto loan yield onchain and marks the start of Hastra's transition into tokenized consumer credit. Have an idea for a story? Chainlink brings 6 U.S. Government economic Data Feeds onchain. What to know: * Chainlink and the U.S. Department of Commerce introduced six official BEA macroeconomic data feeds onchain. * The new feeds include Real GDP, PCE Price Index, and Real Final Sales with both level and annualized change data. * Official economic data could support DeFi risk management, tokenized assets, prediction markets, and automated trading. * The initiative reflects the growing convergence of blockchain infrastructure with traditional financial and economic data. Chainlink has announced a collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) to make official U.S. macroeconomic data available onchain through Chainlink Data Feeds. The integration sources data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), enabling blockchain applications to securely access key economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers. Six official economic indicators now available onchain. According to Chainlink Labs, six macroeconomic datasets from the BEA are now accessible through Chainlink Data Feeds. These include Real GDP (level and annualized percentage change), the PCE Price Index (level and annualized percentage change), and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers (level and annualized percentage change). These indicators are among the most widely followed measures of U.S. economic activity. GDP reflects the size and growth of the economy, while the PCE Price Index is the U.S. Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge. Real Final Sales provide insight into underlying domestic demand by excluding inventory fluctuations. Why government data matters for blockchain markets. Historically, blockchain applications have relied primarily on cryptocurrency price feeds. By adding authenticated government macroeconomic data, developers can build financial products that respond automatically to changes in inflation, economic growth, or consumer spending without relying on manual data entry. Chainlink said the integration could support inflation-linked digital assets, automated trading strategies, perpetual futures, prediction markets, tokenized asset platforms, transparent economic dashboards, and DeFi risk management. These use cases demonstrate how blockchain infrastructure is gradually expanding beyond crypto-native applications into broader financial markets. Tokenization trend continues to expand. The announcement also aligns with the broader industry movement toward tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). Major financial institutions have increasingly explored blockchain-based settlement systems, while policymakers have continued discussions around digital asset regulation and tokenized securities. Access to standardized government data may improve interoperability between traditional finance and decentralized applications. Developers building lending protocols, stablecoin systems, and structured financial products could use official macroeconomic releases as programmable inputs for smart contracts instead of depending solely on market prices. What comes next for Chainlink and developers. The collaboration strengthens Chainlink's position as one of the leading providers of decentralized oracle infrastructure. Rather than simply delivering cryptocurrency prices, the network continues expanding into real-world data categories that can support increasingly sophisticated blockchain applications. For developers, institutions, and DeFi protocols, access to trusted U.S. government data could reduce information asymmetry and improve transparency. As tokenized finance grows, reliable onchain economic indicators may become an important building block for the next generation of blockchain-based financial products.
Fresh off $1B, United Stables turns to Chainlink to secure its multi-chain stablecoin. 22 Jul 2026 (5 hours ago) Stablecoin United Stables has adopted Chainlink as the official data oracle and cross-chain infrastructure for its U stablecoin. The move follows U surpassing $1 billion in supply and $2.5 billion in daily volume across BNB Chain and Ethereum. * United Stables adopted Chainlink as the official oracle and cross-chain layer for its U stablecoin. * Chainlink Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve are live; the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol is planned. * United Stables said U passed $1 billion in supply and $2.5 billion in daily volume since December 2025. United Stables names Chainlink as its official oracle. United Stables has adopted Chainlink as the official data oracle and cross-chain infrastructure for its U stablecoin. The company announced the decision on 20 July 2026 through its official channel, and Chainlink Labs confirmed the integration the same day. The agreement covers decentralised pricing, automated reserve verification, and a planned cross-chain transfer layer for U. United Stables said the arrangement gives users, trading partners, and decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols a single security standard as the token expands across several networks. Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve go live for U. Two Chainlink products are already active for U. Chainlink Data Feeds now supply decentralised market data across more than 20 lending protocols. Proof of Reserve provides automated, cryptographic verification of the collateral backing U in near real time. United Stables said DeFi applications can confirm the token's reserves directly through on-chain data, rather than relying on periodic disclosures. The company also plans to add Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to move U securely between blockchains and reduce friction when liquidity shifts across networks. A security review drove the switch to Chainlink. United Stables said an industry-wide security review shaped the decision. The review flagged weaknesses in legacy bridging and centralised oracle systems, which the company linked to fragmented liquidity, unverified data, and systemic risk. United Stables selected Chainlink for its defence-in-depth design. The company aims to improve pricing accuracy and strengthen cross-chain infrastructure as U scales across BNB Chain, Ethereum, and TRON. "At United Stables, we believe that trust should be cryptographically proven in real-time.", 20 July 2026. - Athena, CEO, United Stables U stablecoin launched in December 2025 backed by cash. United Stables launched U in December 2025 as a fully backed, dollar-pegged digital asset on BNB Chain and Ethereum. The company designed the token for payments, DeFi, institutional settlement, trading, and artificial intelligence applications. According to United Stables, reserves are held one-to-one in cash and audited stablecoins, including USDC, USDT, and USD1, kept in segregated accounts with qualified custodians. The company said independent quarterly audits and on-chain Proof of Reserve verification support its reserve transparency. U passed $1 billion in supply and $2.5 billion in volume. United Stables said U surpassed $1 billion in supply and recorded more than $2.5 billion in daily trading volume within roughly three months of launch. These figures are company-reported and cover activity across its live networks and listings on exchanges such as Binance, HTX, and KuCoin. United Stables said this growth prompted the higher security standard behind the Chainlink integration. LINK trades near $8.69 at time of publication. LINK, the token that powers the Chainlink network, traded at $8.69 at the time of publication, up 3.95% over the past 24 hours (CoinPaprika, 21 July 2026). Its market capitalisation stood near $6.5 billion. The integration adds another named stablecoin issuer to Chainlink's growing institutional footprint. Earlier in July 2026, lending protocol Aave adopted CCIP as its default cross-chain standard, and United Stables said it expects to extend U to additional networks over time.
