Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • T-Systems Switzerland launched Cohesity-powered sovereign Backup-as-a-Service on August 27, 2026.
  • ZainTECH expanded Cohesity managed cyber resilience across six Middle East countries on July 22, 2026.
  • Cohesity widened Aspire rebates and specializations on August 1, accelerating partner-led revenue.

What critics are saying

  • Veritas integration still leaves dual products, separate dashboards, and slower migrations through 2026.
  • Heavy discounting in GSA OneGov through September 2027 compresses margins and trains downmarket pricing.
  • Rubrik's public valuation and IPO pressure force Cohesity toward a 2026 listing, or irrelevance.

What makes Cohesity unique

  • Cohesity sells AI data security plus recovery across on-prem, cloud, and sovereign deployments.
  • Its Veritas merger created the largest data protection vendor, strengthening enterprise migration leverage.
  • GSA OneGov discounts through 2027 give Cohesity a rare federal procurement wedge.

Cohesity partners with T-Systems Switzerland for Backup-as-a-Service.

Cohesity partners with T-Systems Switzerland for Backup-as-a-Service. Dedicated to Swiss customers. By Philippe Nicolas | August 27, 2026 at 2:00 pm T-Systems Switzerland and Cohesity have joined forces to introduce a sovereign Backup-as-a-Service and cyber resilience offering designed for Swiss enterprises and public-sector organizations. The service combines Cohesity's data security and cyber resilience technology with T-Systems' cloud infrastructure and managed services capabilities. Hosted and operated from data centers in Switzerland, the offering addresses increasing requirements for data sovereignty, residency, compliance, and regulatory control. Customers can run the service entirely on T-Systems' cloud infrastructure, eliminating the need for dedicated backup hardware, or connect it to existing on-premises environments through a hybrid deployment model. The service goes beyond conventional backup and recovery by integrating Cohesity's AI-powered anomaly detection, threat scanning, and automated data classification capabilities. These features help organizations identify potential cyber threats earlier, determine which systems and data have been compromised, and locate clean recovery points following ransomware or other cyberattacks. The partnership also illustrates a broader European trend toward locally operated data protection services that combine data sovereignty and regulatory compliance with stronger cyber resilience and faster recovery capabilities. Cohesity expands Aspire Global Partner Program with new specializations.

Cohesity expands Aspire Global Partner Program with new specializations. Updated program broadens earning opportunities, simplifies requirements, and rewards partner teaming, services expertise, and AI data security skills. Cohesity, a reference in AI and data security, announced updates to its Aspire Global Partner Program. The changes expand rebates for partners that collaborate on customer opportunities, introduce specializations (with Professional Services Specialization as the first), and streamline training requirements in select regions and tiers. The changes, which took effect August 1 concurrent with Cohesity's new fiscal year, make Aspire easier to navigate and more closely aligned with how partners are building services-led, recurring-revenue businesses. It also reflects a broader shift in the channel as partners deepen their security-related services, customer outcomes, and recurring revenue models. Recent channel researchopens in a new tab points to widespread partner program changes across the industry, while partners continue to cite complexity as a barrier to growth. Cohesity developed the most recent Aspire updates based on direct partner feedback on how they sell, deliver, and support data security outcomes. "Partners have been clear that they want recognition for the work that happens before, during, and after a transaction," said Kit Beall, CRO, Cohesity. "The Cohesity Aspire program delivers even more for partners, making the program easier to navigate, even more profitable, and better aligned to the way they're growing their cyber resilience practices." Updated incentives Opportunity rebates now extend to teamed deals as well as partner-sourced opportunities, while continued rewards for new and expansion business remain available through a greatly simplified deal registration process. Sales rep SPIF requirements no longer require training completion as a prerequisite, making it easier to qualify and earn. Growth performance rebates are moving to simpler, annualized tools with predictable payout levels, and renewal incumbency rules giving partners a clear, consistent price advantage when they renew customers on time. Cohesity is also increasing partner rebates for solutions in data security and data insights. A new services credential Cohesity is introducing Specializations, a new partner credential within Aspire that recognizes deeper expertise in specific practice areas. Professional Services is the first Specialization available, and partners who earn it will receive support from a dedicated professional services delivery desk, preferred rates on teamed engagements, and technical content designed to accelerate deployments. Additional Specializations, including technical support delivery and cyber resilience, are planned for later in the program year. Simplified enablement Cohesity is reducing training and certification requirements for selected regions and tiers and adding guided learning paths that move partners from individual courses to full certification. The goal is to shorten the time between joining Aspire and being ready to sell, while preserving the technical enablement partners need to support customer deployments. A single partner view Cohesity has also added a new dashboard to the Cohesity partner portal, giving partners visibility for the first time into training, certifications, and billing requirements in a single view. This expands the existing centralized view partners have today around all Cohesity incentives through the Manage My Business partner portal. "Security and AI are two areas where our customers are asking for deeper partner-delivered services," said Vince Trama, CRO, Presidio. "Participating in the Aspire program is one of several ways we're building out that capability for our customers." The updated Aspire Global Partner Program took effect on August 1, 2026, aligned to start with the Cohesity fiscal year 2027.
