Crumbl sells cookies and other desserts through a network of independently owned franchises in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Desserts are baked and sold with a weekly rotating menu, and items are delivered to stores in their iconic pink boxes. The company uses a centralized technology platform and supply chain to standardize taste and service across many locations while allowing local owners to run their shops. Its goal is to bring friends and family together around desserts, expand its store footprint, and create local employment.

The cookie crumbles again: Crumbl down to one Tallahassee location. Tallahassee Democrat Updated June 1, 2026, 5:23 p.m. ET * A Crumbl Cookies location on Thomasville Road has permanently closed after nearly five years. * This marks the second Crumbl closure in the city this year, following the FSU location in January. * A sign directs customers to the company's website to find other locations. Another cookie shop crumbles. After nearly five years of operation, the bakery chain offering a rotating weekly menu of specialty cookies has closed its Thomasville Road location. A white sign posted on the window of Crumbl Cookies reads "This location has closed permanently" and the location has been removed from the company's site. This is the second Crumbl location to close this year. In January the chain dessert shop closed its FSU location on West Tennessee Street. For those looking for their weekly fix of the newest cookie combinations and desserts, the sign directs guests to the company site to find the nearest location. One Crumbl Cookies location remains in the capital city at 3122 Mahan Drive. News of the cookie chain's closure spread on social media as a member of social food group Tallahassee Foodies posted a picture of the closure sign on the door June 1. One user responded saying, "Two locations down in the last year, what is going on?" Another user said, "That's a bummer! This location was always slightly easier for me to get to." Crumbl Cookies closes Chapel Hill location after 3 years in business. Crumbl Cookies has closed its Franklin Street location after just over three years in business. The store, located in Suite 150 at 133 West Franklin St., first opened its doors in February of 2023. It was owned by husband and wife Craig and Rebecca Church, Brian Church, Russ Church, Josh Watson and Corbin Linde when it first opened. Its Carolina Square suite was previously occupied by ivy & leo, a boutique clothing store. The Crumbl Cookies brand began in Utah in 2017 and has grown to over 1,000 locations in the United States. Its claim-to-fame is having "the world's best chocolate chip cookie" and a line-up of cookie flavors that rotate each week - meaning customers rarely get the same batch of recipes each visit. The interior of Chapel Hill's Crumbl Cookies location sits empty. The 'closed' sign on the door left little details for patrons, only encouraging them to visit other Crumbl locations. Called "Crumbl At The Line," if an opposing player missed two consecutive free throws during the second half of home games at the Dean Smith Center and Carmichael Arena, attendees would receive a code for free cookies from the local franchise. Chapel Hill's Crumbl is just the latest store closed by the company, as it has recently enacted similar closures in Germantown, MD, Tallahassee, TN, and Jersey City, NJ. While the Chapel Hill location may have closed its doors, cookie lovers can still find the chain's offerings at its Southpoint location in south Durham. The business' closure leaves Insomnia Cookies as Franklin Street's only dedicated cookie restaurant.
