Distribution Stox marks Ottawa hub opening. May 6, 2026 Frédéric Déry, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, kicks off the opening of Distribution Stox's new Ottawa facility. Distribution Stox officially inaugurated one of its key logistics hubs on April 30 with a new Ottawa facility designed to deliver products faster across southeastern Ontario. Located at 1100 Last Mile Drive in the city's south end, the 122,000-square-foot site can handle up to 160,000 tire and wheel units and is part of a broader network expansion that includes planned openings in Vaughan in 2026 and Sudbury in 2027. Dozens of guests, including partners and industry stakeholders, gathered for the opening to tour the new facility and see the operation in action, from inventory management to order fulfillment. "These new facilities exist to better serve our customers. They represent a commitment to operational excellence," said Frédéric Déry, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Distribution Stox, during the event. Distribution Stox is a Canadian distributor of tires and wheels, supplying dealerships, repair shops, and tire centres with inventory and delivery services. For car dealers, the Ottawa site is the first step in a broader Ontario logistics strategy aimed at improving delivery speed and product availability across the region. Faster access to tires and wheels can help stores reduce downtime in service bays and respond more quickly to seasonal demand spikes. Founded in 2016, Distribution Stox supplies more than 25 tire and wheel brands covering passenger vehicles, light-duty trucks, and electric vehicles. Company representatives at the opening emphasized the role of proximity in helping car dealers manage seasonal demand and inventory pressure. The new hub is designed to support those needs with increased storage capacity and faster turnaround times, particularly during peak tire seasons, when consistent supply can directly impact service throughput and customer satisfaction. In addition to distribution, the company highlighted its digital ordering and tracking platform, which integrates with dealership management systems, as well as support services such as training and customer tire storage. Distribution Stox operates nearly 30 distribution centres across Canada and maintains a fleet of more than 250 delivery trucks. Its network serves more than 6,000 auto repair shops, tire centres, and dealerships nationwide. With additional Ontario facilities planned over the next two years, the company is positioning its logistics network to scale alongside dealer demand.
