E Source Companies

Utility research, data, and advisory services

Overview

E Source Companies provides research, data, and consulting to electric, gas, and water utilities to help them adapt to market shifts, improve customer relationships, and adopt new technologies. Its core offerings come from decades of energy-efficiency knowledge packaged as information services and analytics, delivered to utilities to inform decisions, benchmarks, and best practices. The company differentiates itself through a primed focus on the utility sector and a rapid growth strategy enabled by the 2019 acquisition by Align Capital Partners, which fueled an aggressive program of acquisitions to expand capabilities in grid modernization, smart infrastructure, and data analytics. The combined effect is a broader, more capable advisory platform aimed at guiding large utilities through transformation, technology adoption, and modernization of their operations.
