Einride revenue up 26% to $27M, projects 60-73% growth in H2 with 500 Tesla Semi deployment

Einride reported first-half 2026 revenue of $27 million, up 26% year-over-year on a constant currency basis. The Swedish electric freight company expects revenue growth to accelerate to 60-73% in the second half. The company secured a deployment of 75 electric heavy-duty trucks with Amazon across five US locations. After the period ended, Einride partnered with Tesla to deploy 500 Semi trucks, tripling its fleet size to 750 vehicles through third-party financing. Einride posted a net loss of SEK 1.12 billion, compared to SEK 887 million a year earlier, primarily due to non-cash charges related to its business combination and Nasdaq listing. The company held SEK 748 million ($77 million) in cash as of 30 June. Einride targets cash flow breakeven in 2028 with a fleet of 1,500-2,000 trucks in operation.

Einride strikes deal to add 500 Tesla Semis to its fleet.

Einride strikes deal to add 500 Tesla Semis to its fleet. 3:30 AM PDT · August 18, 2026 Swedish electric and autonomous trucking company Einride said Tuesday it plans to buy 500 Tesla Semis and make the electric big rigs available to Amazon and other customers. The Tesla Semis will be added in phases to Einride's fleet over the next 24 months, starting in September, according to the company. Einride will manage the Tesla Semis through its Saga AI software, a fleet management platform designed to give customers all the benefits of using electric trucks to carry freight without the financial and logistical burden that comes with owning them. Einride CEO Roozbeh Charli said this "deployment is yet another proof point that we can execute at the scale our customers demand." And scale is what this deal promises, if Tesla can deliver. Tesla revealed a concept of the Semi in 2017 and five years later, after numerous delays due to the Covid pandemic and global supply chain shortages, the company delivered the first batch to customers like PepsiCo. Volume production of the Tesla Semi was delayed even further. It wasn't until April 2026 that the first Semi rolled off its high-volume production line at its factory in Nevada. Despite that recent milestone, Tesla has pulled back on promises to reach "volume production" in 2026. Tesla said in its second-quarter shareholder letter and earning scall that it's trying to increase battery production, specifically around the company's 4680 cell, in order to start building the Tesla Semi (and its Cybercab) at scale. Einride, which went public in June, operates a fleet of about 200 of its own heavy-duty electric trucks for companies such as Heineken and PepsiCo. It has also developed autonomous pod-like trucks, which are noticeable for their cab-less design. The Saga AI software pulls it altogether, determining how those vehicles are used, routed, and charged. The deal with Tesla is outsized in its potential for Einride. It will triple the size of Einride's fleet while sweetening the company's sales pitch for its Saga AI software. Einride said the Tesla Semis will be available to customers across North America and extend its electric freight network to key corridors in California, Georgia, New Jersey and Texas. Einride is using a third party to finance the purchase of the Tesla Semis. Does Mark Zuckerberg really believe AI is 'for everyone'? Einride is now pushing to scale its business, an effort that has accelerated in 2026. Einride struck a deal with Amazon to add 75 of its electric heavy duty trucks to the e-commerce giant's Relay freight network and provide charging infrastructure across five locations in the United States. Einride also acquired EV charging company Flipturn, a deal that allows it to offer customers the full package of services, including electric trucks and the charging software needed to run them more efficiently and reliably. DAF and Einride develop Level 4 autonomous truck platform.

DAF and Einride develop Level 4 autonomous truck platform. By Zahra Awan August 17, 2026 2 Mins Read Einride and DAF Trucks (a PACCAR subsidiary) have announced a joint initiative to integrate Einride's autonomous driving system, Einride Driver, into DAF's premium vehicle platform. The collaboration marks a significant step toward the large-scale commercialization of SAE Level 4 autonomous electric freight transportation in response to industry challenges such as driver shortages and rising operating costs. Integration of technology and electric truck platform. As a first step, Einride and DAF, together with experts from TNO (the Dutch independent research institute for applied science and innovation), will collaborate to define and test the integration of Einride's autonomous drive system into DAF's electric truck platform. This includes establishing the required interfaces to enable safe and scalable autonomous operations. Compliant for future expansion. With the assistance of TNO, Einride and DAF are working closely with type approval authorities to ensure the platform is compliant for future expansion onto public roads. Initial tests and validation of key interfaces will be conducted during 2026, followed in 2027 by the integration and commissioning of Einride's autonomous driving software, with all subsequent interface validation and functional testing performed on a DAF truck. Automated driving strategy. This initiative builds on PACCAR's automated driving activities, where significant experience has already been gained through the North American Autonomous Vehicle Platform (AVP) program. In parallel, PACCAR is advancing developments within the broader autonomous trucking ecosystem in collaboration with emerging full-stack technology providers. This reflects the rapid evolution of scalable, software-defined autonomy solutions for heavy-duty transportation. Insights from these programs provide additional opportunities to accelerate the development of autonomous capabilities within the DAF platform. "By leveraging DAF's decades of manufacturing excellence and market strength, we can expedite the global scale-up of Einride's autonomous technology," said Henkrik Green, chief technology officer at Einride. "This collaboration validates our vehicle-agnostic approach to autonomy and brings us one step closer to deploying safe, scalable Level 4 autonomy at commercial scale." "This collaboration is a testament to DAF's commitment to innovation and futureproofing the logistics sector," said Jeroen van den Oetelaar, DAF Trucks' chief engineer and member of the board. "By combining our premium truck platform with leading autonomous technology, we are actively shaping a more efficient, safer and sustainable freight ecosystem."
