Fanfix is a platform that helps digital content creators earn money from their fans by offering exclusive, behind-the-scenes content through a subscription model. Creators upload special content and set their own monthly prices; fans pay recurring fees to access it. Fanfix takes a share of subscriptions as revenue. The service differentiates itself by letting creators fully control pricing and by focusing on direct fan-to-creator monetization for exclusive content, rather than relying on traditional ad-supported social feeds. The goal is to support creators in building steady income and stronger fan relationships within the growing creator economy.

Fanfix, with 15M users and $200M paid to creators, aims for $1 billion by 2027. Sunroom's creators will migrate to Fanfix, unlocking new monetization tools. Mort and Battersby will stay as advisors. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Loren PiretraIn a press release published last week, Los Angeles-based social media company Fanfix announced the hiring of Loren Piretra as its first-ever chief marketing officer. Piretra, who has over 15 years building business strategies for creators, comes to Fanfix from Playboy, where she served as vice president and co-lead of the brand’s subscription-based social media platform. In its announcement, Fanfix noted that Piretra will be responsible for “[overseeing] all aspects of the company’s global marketing, media strategies, brand positioning, and user and creator-engagement initiatives with a focus on growth and impact.”“We are thrilled to welcome Loren Piretra as Fanfix's chief marketing officer,” Harry Gestetner, Fanfix’s co-founder, said in a statement for the press release. “Her unparalleled expertise and track record in pioneering strategies align perfectly with our mission to optimize creator-fan relationships through our Gen Z-focused clean content platform.”In its press release, Fanfix boasts its platform as “the subscription-based social media platform of choice by Gen Z” and a “brand-friendly alternative to Patreon.” On its website, Fanfix describes itself as helping creators “earn a recurring income by accepting monthly subscriptions for exclusive behind-the-scenes content that your fans will love.”In an exclusive interview conducted by email last week, Piretra—who, prior to Playboy, worked in creator-centric roles at places like Twitch and the National Football League—explained she was drawn to Fanfix in part due to being captivated by “the inventive and resourceful nature of social-centric creators, and I remain inspired by those leading the charge to create pathways for people to do what they love long-term.” This especially applies to Generation Z, of whom Piretra said is the reason she joined the company. It was an opportunity she leapt at because she felt a “strong sense of inspiration by the team’s authenticity, passion for building community, and genuine care for creators in the space.”“My enduring belief in the influential role of youth culture and creators, as both an economic and cultural force, is shared by the leadership team at Fanfix,” Piretra said
As Fanfix expands to the Middle East, it says it aims to revolutionise the way content is created, consumed, and monetised.
