Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Inflexion reported around 6 million monthly visitors and over 27,000 new broker clients in 2025.
  • The March 2026 Amundi ETF launch creates proprietary, low-cost distribution and fee capture.
  • Finanzen.net ZERO's zero-commission pitch and ETF savings plans deepen user retention and trading frequency.

What critics are saying

  • Trade Republic's 4 million customers and Scalable's 1 million dwarf ZERO's 200,000 base.
  • Portal-to-broker conversion stays thin; Inflexion cited only 27,000 new clients from 2025 visitors.
  • A failed ZERO scale-up would leave finanzen.net trapped as a commoditized traffic publisher.

What makes finanzen.net unique

  • finanzen.net combines Germany's traffic-leading portal, ZERO broker, TraderFox, and ETF manufacturing.
  • Inflexion said 2026 leadership changes strengthened data- and AI-driven decision-making after carve-out.
  • Vickii's January 2026 acquisition added AI talent directly into finanzen.net ZERO.

Finanzen.net acquires fintech Vickii to develop AI products for neobroker

Finanzen.net has acquired German fintech Vickii, though the startup's app will be discontinued. The founding team, including Lukas Söllner, Alexander Brils and Jai Bheeman, will join Finanzen.net to develop AI products for the company and its neobroker finanzen.net Zero. Vickii, based in Münster, aimed to introduce young people to investing through stock information and financial content. The startup raised funding three years ago from business angels including former Rocket Internet supervisory board member Marcus Englert. Söllner will serve as Head of AI, leading development of new AI features for finanzen.net Zero. The acquisition appears to be primarily a talent acquisition, with Finanzen.net CEO Muhamad Chahrour, formerly of Flatex, likely paying a modest sum for the young product team.
