Brisbane-based ESGAgent.ai has closed a seed funding round led by DNX Ventures, bringing its total funding to AUD $1.7 million. The startup sells AI-powered software that automates compliance and reporting for heavy industry, targeting sectors facing growing climate, safety and governance obligations. The company says its system can reduce work that traditionally took months to hours. It already has customers in mining, food manufacturing and engineering consulting using its platform for carbon reporting, climate risk management and safety compliance. ESGAgent.ai has appointed Mike Duggan as Executive General Manager and Greg Steele as investor and Director. Duggan previously worked at Ashurst Risk Advisory and Deloitte, whilst Steele was Global Chief Commercial Officer at Arcadis. Greysteel hires new exec to lead Northwest, Seattle region. Greysteel announced the appointment of Jakob Nicholls as Managing Director, Northwest Capital Markets.
