GridUnity

GridUnity

Automates grid interconnection via SaaS platform

Overview

GridUnity provides a cloud-based software platform that speeds up grid interconnection by automating and coordinating the often slow, manual steps utilities, system operators, transmission owners, and developers must complete to bring new energy projects online. The platform combines customer engagement, engineering automation, and infrastructure management in one unified system of record, helping clients reduce bottlenecks, increase transparency, and make data-driven decisions. Unlike other solutions, GridUnity is the only offering that natively integrates these three areas in a single SaaS, which many major utilities and system operators already rely on to serve more than half the U.S. population. The goal is to streamline workflows, improve planning and execution, and accelerate the deployment of new energy resources to meet rising demand.

GridUnity launches Intelligence Lab to accelerate governed AI for grid planning

GridUnity has launched the GridUnity Intelligence Lab, an innovation facility designed to accelerate AI adoption for electrical grid management. The lab enables utilities and transmission operators to safely experiment with AI agents using real utility data whilst maintaining human oversight. The initiative centres on GALE AI, GridUnity's grid-native artificial intelligence system built on a master data model of the physical grid. GALE is pre-trained on grid standards and regulatory guidelines, providing trusted answers to utility teams managing load growth and interconnection complexity. The lab addresses the industry's need for rapid innovation as interconnection volumes surge and regulatory scrutiny intensifies. Unlike traditional research structures, it emphasises quick validation and deployment of practical solutions. GridUnity's customers, serving over half the US population, are joining as founding members.
