$16 million raise led by climate solutions investment firm Hannon Armstrong will accelerate REsurety’s clean energy decision and risk management tools
HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital (HASI) has announced a structured equity investment in the Pasco Resource Recovery Center, a wastewater treatment facility in Washington State. The investment, which closed in July 2026, marks HASI's first transaction in water infrastructure. The facility, developed and operated by Burnham, serves seven local food-processing plants and can recycle over one billion gallons of water annually for agricultural irrigation. It uses anaerobic digestion technology and produces renewable natural gas as a byproduct. The investment is backed by a 30-year wastewater treatment agreement with the City of Pasco. The upgraded facility replaced Pasco's original treatment plant in 2025, significantly expanding capacity whilst reducing environmental impact.
HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital reported second quarter 2026 results, with GAAP EPS of $0.92 compared to $0.74 in Q2 2025, and adjusted EPS of $0.75 versus $0.60 year-over-year. The company's managed assets grew 20% year-over-year to $17.6 billion as of 30 June 2026. HASI closed more than $1.4 billion in balance sheet transactions year-to-date through Q2 2026, with new asset yields on portfolio investments exceeding 11%. The firm issued $1 billion in unsecured notes at an effective cost of approximately 5.6%. In July, it increased its revolver capacity by $425 million to $2.25 billion. HASI raised its adjusted EPS guidance to a range of $3.55 to $3.65, up from $3.50 to $3.60, whilst maintaining adjusted ROE guidance of at least 17.0% in 2028.
HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital reported second-quarter results that exceeded Wall Street expectations. The climate investment firm posted revenue of $120.8 million, up 16.6% year on year and beating analyst estimates of $98.34 million by 22.8%. The company's non-GAAP earnings per share came in at $0.75, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.73. Pre-tax profit reached $188.8 million, representing a 156% margin. Over the past five years, HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital has achieved 23.2% annualised revenue growth. However, its two-year growth rate of 17.3% shows some deceleration. The firm specialises in financing climate-positive infrastructure projects across renewable energy, energy efficiency, and ecological restoration. It uses a proprietary "CarbonCount" metric to measure environmental impact. Shares rose 2.8% to $39.11 following the announcement.
HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital has secured a $2.25 billion unsecured revolving credit facility with JPMorgan Chase, replacing a previous $1.825 billion agreement. The new five-year facility increases available credit by $425 million and extends maturity from April 2028 to July 2031. The credit agreement features sustainability-linked pricing based on the company's CarbonCount metric, directly affecting borrowing costs and commitment fees. The current spread is 157.5 basis points plus Term SOFR, with a five basis point adjustment tied to sustainability performance. Participating institutions include Citibank, Coöperatieve Rabobank, and Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank. JPMorgan Chase serves as administrative agent, sole bookrunner, and sustainability structuring agent. The facility supports multi-currency borrowing in US dollars, sterling, euros, Canadian dollars, and Australian dollars. The agreement includes standard covenants covering liens, indebtedness, investments, and dividend declarations.
