New Mexico-based contractor Brycon Corp. has been acquired by HITT Contracting, one of America's largest general contractors with $13 billion in annual revenue. The transaction closed on 2 February. Brycon, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Rio Rancho, will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of HITT whilst retaining its name. The acquisition gives Brycon access to resources for national expansion, particularly to support semiconductor industry growth. The deal was driven by Brycon's need for greater national reach and employee growth opportunities. HITT cited Brycon's 35 years of expertise in clean-room construction for semiconductor manufacturers like Intel and Samsung as strategic for expanding its Southwest presence. Brycon has offices across New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and Texas, with approximately 60% of its projects in Arizona.
