Holywater, an AI-first vertical video company, has acquired visual effects firm Jeynix and rebranded as Holywater Tech. The Ukrainian-founded company operates microdramas platform My Drama, books platform My Passion and AI streaming platform My Muse, targeting the US vertical video market. Jeynix, founded in 2024, specialises in facial animation, face replacement, de-aging and lip-sync technology. The acquisition will enable Holywater Tech to deliver cinematic-quality visuals whilst maintaining low budgets and enabling rapid market localisation. The move follows Holywater's $22 million financing round last month and recent partnerships with Fox Entertainment. Fox took an equity stake in October 2025 and committed to producing over 200 shows over two years, later partnering with YouTube creator Dhar Mann for 40 titles on My Drama.
Holywater, a Ukrainian media company, has raised $22 million in a Series A round to expand its microdrama app My Drama and other products. The funding comes as microdramas—short, serialised stories designed for mobile binge-watching—gain popularity in the US. The investment will support the company's growth as it capitalises on the emerging microdrama trend, which caters to viewers seeking quick, episodic content on their mobile devices.
Fox Entertainment has acquired an equity stake in the vertical video platform Holywater to enhance its tech growth strategy and digital storytelling. The partnership will involve collaboration on original vertical video series, ad sales, and brand partnerships, and will integrate Fox IP into the vertical format. Fox CEO Rob Wade emphasized the importance of innovation in digital storytelling for future growth. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
