Overview

Harris American designs, manufactures and supports scrap recycling and waste processing equipment. Their product range includes balers (single-ram, two-ram, horizontal, vertical) for metals, paper, cardboard, and plastics; shears; shredders; baler/logger/shears; and high-volume compactors for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Hydraulic balers compress scrap into bales, shredders reduce material size, and shears cut material, with integrated systems for efficient material handling. Harris American leverages a centuries-long lineage from three Avis Industrial subsidiaries and a network of four production facilities across Georgia, Ohio, and Florida, plus the acquisition of G.P.S. S.r.l. to broaden ferrous and non-ferrous processing capabilities. The company's goal is to provide reliable, end-to-end material recovery and waste-management equipment and services that help customers process recyclables efficiently and grow their recycling capabilities.
