The role is remote and focuses on identifying and addressing gaps in traditional coverage, and on structuring alternative risk transfer options for organisations seeking greater flexibility than the standard commercial insurance market provides. The remit also covers coordination of the underwriting, financial and regulatory requirements of captive programmes, alongside client-facing work on programme stability and growth. McDade joins from Hylant, where the role was captive account manager, working with captive owners, brokers and service providers on programme administration, compliance and long-term strategy. Before moving into captive management, McDade spent two years as a financial analyst at the South Carolina Department of Insurance, assessing solvency and compliance for risk retention groups and other captive insurers based in the state. Earlier roles were in client advisory positions in the life insurance sector, covering retirement planning and asset protection strategies. Helio Risk provides captive management and risk consulting services, assisting businesses with the formation and management of captive insurance companies domiciled in Oklahoma and other jurisdictions.
