IMPaCT Care provides a managed services and technology platform to deploy Community Health Workers at scale for health organizations, including payers, providers, and public health entities. It combines expert consultation, a system to hire and train CHWs from local communities, and a cloud-based platform that auto-dispatches CHWs, guides evidence-based workflows, manages caseloads, and offers real-time analytics. The approach is based on the IMPaCT model developed at the University of Pennsylvania, validated by randomized trials and shown to reduce hospital days, improve mental health and chronic disease control, and deliver cost savings versus building in-house programs. The goal is to advance health equity by expanding access to CHW-led care and improving population health outcomes through scalable, evidence-based, value-focused services and technology.

NMF welcomes Dr. Kameron Matthews to lead revitalized Alumni Alliance. Award-winning physician and NMF alumna to help strengthen nationwide network of more than 45,000 alumni committed to healthcare excellence and mentoring the next generation. National Medical Fellowships (NMF) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Kameron Leigh Matthews, MD, JD, FAAFP, as the new leader of its revitalized Alumni Alliance. An accomplished physician, healthcare executive, educator, and advocate, Dr. Matthews has dedicated her career to expanding access to quality healthcare while investing in future healthcare leaders. As an NMF alumna, Dr. Matthews understands the transformative impact of scholarship support, mentorship, and professional development. Her appointment reflects NMF's commitment to fostering lifelong engagement among its more than 45,000 alumni, whose leadership continues to improve healthcare in communities nationwide. "NMF invested in me at a pivotal point in my journey, and that support has stayed with me throughout my career," said Dr. Matthews. "NMF did more than help me pursue a medical education - they reminded me that I belonged in medicine and that others believed in my potential to lead and serve. "As we reintroduce the Alumni Alliance, I hope every alum who has benefited from NMF will consider how they, too, can help those coming up behind them. Whether through sponsorship, advocacy, or philanthropy, we all have a role in ensuring the next generation has the opportunities we were fortunate to receive." Dr. Matthews recently joined IMPaCT Care, a public benefit corporation that helps organizations build and manage technology-enabled Community Health Workforces, as Chief Health Officer. A board-certified family medicine physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, she has spent her career improving healthcare systems for medically underserved communities. Committed to expanding pathways into medicine, Dr. Matthews co-founded and continues to direct the Tour for Diversity in Medicine, which provides premedical enrichment opportunities for high school and undergraduate students from underrepresented communities. "We are privileged to welcome Dr. Matthews as the leader of the NMF Alumni Alliance," said Michellene Davis, Esq., President and CEO of NMF. "She more than exemplifies the values that define NMF - service, excellence, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare for all. "Throughout her career, she has transformed healthcare systems while never losing sight of the people and communities they exist to serve. As an NMF alumna, she understands the power of investing in future leaders, and we know her leadership will inspire alumni across generations to reconnect, engage, and help shape the future of healthcare." Approximately 95 percent of NMF primary care and specialty physicians practice in Health Professional Shortage Areas, preventing more than 191 annual deaths and contributing more than 800K cumulative years of life gained in high-needs communities. Across primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, diabetes care, and behavioral health, NMF alumni serve counties with some of the nation's highest Social Vulnerability Index scores, with nearly half practicing in the country's most vulnerable communities. Their work is becoming increasingly urgent. As the population ages, the nation faces a HRSA-projected shortage of nearly 700,000 physicians and nurses within the next decade. Existing workforce shortages already contribute to delayed care, longer wait times, reduced access, and poorer patient outcomes. Supporting future healthcare professionals also means supporting their well-being. According to Medscape's latest Medical Student Lifestyle Report, nearly 30% of medical students report being very depressed, while 43% report isolating themselves. HRSA reports that nearly half of physicians and three-fourths of nurses experience burnout, and a JAMA systemic review found that resident physicians experience depression at nearly rates four times higher than the general population. These realities underscore why NMF believes healthcare professionals should not have to navigate their journeys alone and seeks to support its alumni through every stage of their careers. NMF also invites alumni to become active partners in supporting future healthcare generations by mentoring scholars, sponsoring emerging leaders, and sharing their expertise through the NMF Sustainer Circle and the NMF Ambassador programs. Together, these efforts ensure that every generation of NMF scholars is equipped not only to earn a degree, but also to lead with purpose, serve with compassion, and create lasting change. Under Dr. Matthews' leadership, the Alumni Alliance will reaffirm a simple but powerful truth: when one generation reaches back to lift the next, the impact extends far beyond medicine - it transforms communities.
IMPaCT Care, a community health worker (CHW) company, has appointed Michael Monson to its Advisory Board as healthcare organisations increasingly turn to CHW programmes amid margin pressures and clinician shortages. The number of organisations employing CHWs has tripled, with evidence-based programmes delivering twice the patient engagement at a fraction of clinical care manager costs. Monson previously served as President and CEO of Altarum and led Centene's Medicaid product and social determinants of health strategy. He also held senior roles at Village Care of New York and Visiting Nurse Service of New York, and worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. IMPaCT Care provides health plans and systems with tools and technology to launch and scale CHW programmes, validated by three randomised controlled trials demonstrating impacts on health quality and utilisation.
