Imaging group beefs up C-suite as radiologist roster hits 200 amid rapid growth. Imagen Technologies, a physician-led, AI-enabled radiology practice, is beefing up its C-suite as the organization recently hit 200 rads on its roster amid rapid growth. The New York-based company said the additions include two new associate chief medical officers and section chiefs across cardiac care, musculoskeletal imaging and interventional radiology. Founded in 2015, Imagen hired approximately 65 radiologists last year and is on pace to add another 110 in 2026 as it seeks to serve new hospital, physician group and imaging center partners. The company currently operates across 28 states and interprets nearly 2.5 million studies annually, powered by its own proprietary FDA-cleared AI products. "Scaling a national radiology practice requires exceptional clinical leadership, disciplined operations and a relentless focus on quality," Alex Dresner, co-founder and CEO of Imagen, said in a statement Aug. 19. "[These new hires] bring the experience and judgment required to build specialty programs, support our physicians and ensure that our clinical, technology and operating teams continue to work as one integrated organization." Among the additions, Imagen also is adding Alexander Stevenson as its new chief operating officer. He previously worked for firms including Bain & Company and Microsoft and most recently was chief product officer for Auctane, a software development firm based in Austin, Texas. He joins Imagen with experience in technology, product development, engineering, strategy and "scaling high-growth organizations." As COO he will oversee product, engineering and clinical operation teams, helping support national expansion. Among the other hires: * Laurence Eckel, MD, will serve as associate chief medical officer. He joins Imagen following a distinguished career at the Mayo Clinic, serving as chair of neuroradiology, among other roles. At Imagen he will lead clinical governance and physician development, serving as liaison to the expanding radiologist team. * Jeffrey Wesolowski, MD, also will serve as associate CMO. Previously a radiologist and partner with TRA Medical Imaging in Tacoma, Washington, he is a fellowship-trained neurorad with extensive experience in clinical practice, informatics and technology development. As associate CMO, Wesolowski will help oversee clinical operations, physician engagement and quality initiatives. * Greg Galdino, MD, MBA, will serve as Imagen's musculoskeletal imaging section chief. He holds over 20 years of experience in orthopedic and sports medicine, spine MRI, and image-guided procedures. Galdino previously worked for Southern Radiology Associates in the Nashville metro area and currently handles MSK work for Radsource. As section chief, Galdino will further develop Imagen's musculoskeletal service line, focusing on clinical standards, doc education and quality initiatives. * Ari Salis, MD, will serve as interventional radiology section chief. He holds over 25 years of experience in the specialty, previously serving as radiology chair and medical staff president at Concord Hospital, in New Hampshire. At Imagen, Salis will lead expansion of the company's IR services, working to establish operational standards and partnering with hospitals systems and multispecialty practices to scale the program. * And finally, Lauren Stipp, MD, will take on the title of cardiology medical director at Imagen. She is a board-certified cardiologist and advanced heart imaging specialist with expertise across CT, MRI and nuclear cardiology. Stipp previously served as director of cardiac imaging for multiple Ascension Sacred Heart hospitals. In her new role, she will lead Imagen's cardiovascular imaging services, guiding clinical quality, protocol development, doc education and nationwide expansion of cardiac care. "These appointments mark an important step in Imagen's continued evolution as it builds the clinical, operational, and technological foundation needed to transform diagnostic imaging at scale," the company said in its announcement. "By bringing together exceptional physicians, experienced operators, and advanced technology, Imagen is creating a better model for diagnostic care."
