Körber has launched STEPLogic Tracker, a food traceability solution designed to help food companies prepare for the FDA's Food Traceability Rule under FSMA Section 204. The platform enables companies to capture, manage and retrieve critical traceability information within the FDA's 24-hour recall timeline requirement. The solution addresses lot-level recordkeeping and provides structured workflows for traceability across receiving, transformation and shipping operations. It is specifically designed for mid-sized food manufacturers still managing information through spreadsheets and disconnected systems. The FDA's Food Traceability Rule requires covered entities to maintain records for foods on the Food Traceability List and make them available to the FDA within 24 hours of request. The compliance deadline is 20 July 2028. STEPLogic Tracker is part of Körber's broader suite of supply chain solutions.
Beyond buzzwords: what truly smart warehousing looks like in action. Jun 4, 2026 Adversarial AI Pipeline Its Take - Mike Sanders, Founder "We see this every audit - companies buy the scanners and the WMS but never close the integration gap, so supervisors still walk the floor to find out what's actually happening; a $50 pick error multiplied by 20,000 orders/month is the number that should be on the CFO's desk." Zebra and Körber's partnership puts rugged mobile hardware in pickers' hands while feeding real-time scan data directly into the WMS - the operational gap it closes is the lag between what's happening on the floor and what supervisors see on the screen. The business case isn't 'edge-to-edge visibility' - it's eliminating the 15-30 minute decision latency that drives pick errors and dock congestion in high-volume 3PL operations. From the source. "By integrating Zebra's mobile hardware with Körber's WMS, we're enabling customers to make smarter decisions from the edge of their operations all the way through to final shipment." - Inside Zebra and Körber's Partnership for Smarter Warehouse Technology Key takeaways. * 01Zebra rugged scanners + Körber WMS = real-time scan-to-system data flow at the pick face * 02Industry benchmark: pick errors cost $50-$300 per incident in returns and rework * 03Decision latency between floor activity and WMS visibility is the real operational gap, not hardware capability * 04Integration value lives in the API layer between scanner and WMS - not in either product alone * 05Hardware-software pairing only delivers ROI when paired with workflow redesign on the floor Watch the source. Körber expands PAS-X portfolio with PAS-X Neo for life science manufacturers. May 29, 2026 By Janice Abel Company and Product News New MES offering is designed to help small and mid-sized pharmaceutical manufacturers digitalize shop floor operations with a scalable path into the PAS-X ecosystem. Körber has announced PAS-X Neo, an additional Manufacturing Execution System (MES) offering designed to help small and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies and sites digitalize shop floor operations quickly and with a clear path for future growth. With PAS-X Neo, Körber extends its PAS-X portfolio, which includes PAS-X MES, PAS-X Savvy, and AI solutions. The new offering provides an entry point into PAS-X and the Körber ecosystem for life science manufacturers that want to start small and scale as their business grows. Many pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers continue to rely on paper-based or fragmented shop floor processes. These approaches can lead to manual errors, inefficiencies, and increased compliance risk. At the same time, limited internal IT, validation, and MES capacity can make digitalization projects difficult to start and sustain. PAS-X Neo is a purpose-built MES for small and mid-sized companies and sites. It is designed to address these challenges through a lean, standardized, cloud-native architecture with essential GMP functionality. The solution supports cost-efficient operations, low IT complexity, and regulatory compliance, while providing a right-sized entry point into PAS-X and the Körber ecosystem. The software is intended to support fast time to value, with a goal of implementation within less than two months using standardized templates, minimal configuration effort, and AI support. Pharma-grade compliance is built in from day one, including ALCOA+, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, audit trails, and electronic signatures. The SaaS delivery model is designed to reduce effort and total cost of ownership. No local infrastructure is required, and pre-validated building blocks help reduce validation effort. PAS-X Neo complements Körber's flagship PAS-X MES and is expected to provide future benefits in terms of interoperability between MES systems across different sites, as well as a clearly defined upgrade path. The first version of PAS-X Neo is expected to be available in November 2026.
