Law Foundation of Silicon Valley

Law Foundation of Silicon Valley

Free housing, health, and youth advocacy

Overview

The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley is a non-profit that provides free legal services and advocacy to low-income individuals and underrepresented communities in Silicon Valley. It operates three core programs—Housing, Health, and Children & Youth—and combines direct legal representation with systemic advocacy, community education, and policy work to address root causes of inequity. Services are funded by donations and partnerships and delivered at no cost to clients, using a team of nearly 100 professionals including attorneys, social workers, and advocates. The organization helps with homelessness prevention, housing discrimination, health benefits and rights for mental health patients, and educational equity, including efforts to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. Its goals are to secure justice and protect rights for those traditionally unrepresented, reduce barriers to housing and health access, and promote fair treatment for children and families in Silicon Valley.
