LiveOak Fiber appoints telecoms veterans Brian Stading and Richard Clark to board

LiveOak Fiber has appointed Brian Stading and Richard Clark to its board of directors as founding member Jan Geldmacher steps down to lead AI computing company Cornami. Geldmacher will remain a shareholder and adviser. Stading brings over 30 years of telecommunications experience, most recently serving as chief executive officer of Lumos, where he oversaw growth to more than one million homes passed. He previously held the chief operating officer position at Ziply Fiber. Clark has spent the past decade leading expansion at FirstLight, OTELCO, and GoNetspeed. Since becoming chief executive officer of GoNetspeed in 2021, he has led a multi-company consolidation strategy backed by Oak Hill Capital. The Georgia-based fibre-to-the-home internet provider operates across Florida and Georgia.

LiveOak Fiber secures $425M credit facility to accelerate fiber expansion across Southeast

LiveOak Fiber, a fibre-to-the-home internet provider in the southeastern US, has secured a $425 million credit facility from Oak Hill Advisors and Palistar Capital to accelerate network expansion. The funding will extend the company's all-fibre footprint across existing and planned markets in Florida and Georgia. The Brunswick, Georgia-based company operates with full-time local teams delivering installation and support. LiveOak Fiber has created over 150 local jobs and maintains a 99.99% reliable network serving single-family homes, businesses and multi-tenant communities. J.P. Morgan advised LiveOak Fiber and acted as Structuring Agent on the credit facility. Existing investor InfraRed Capital Partners, which manages $13 billion in equity capital, expressed confidence in the platform's long-term value.
