LogicMonitor appoints Garry Gray as ANZ vice president. Tue, 20th Oct 2026 (Today) LogicMonitor has appointed Garry Gray as Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, expanding its regional leadership team. Gray will lead the business across Australia and New Zealand, with responsibility for go-to-market plans, customer relationships and the partner network. He will also oversee the local team and work across direct and partner-led sales as LogicMonitor pursues further growth in the region. He joins with more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector. Most recently, Gray worked at Red Hat, where he led cloud and co-creation across Asia Pacific and previously ran ecosystem strategy in Australia and New Zealand. His background also spans enterprise sales, cloud, managed services, business development and partner leadership. That experience will be applied to aligning direct sales and partner activity around shared commercial goals in the local market. The appointment comes as LogicMonitor continues to build out its operations in Australia and New Zealand. The company positions the region as part of its wider push around what it calls Autonomous IT, a strategy aimed at shifting IT teams from reactive operations to AI-led workflows. That strategy includes Edwin AI, which LogicMonitor describes as an operating layer for IT operations. According to the company, the software acts as an interface for AI-led workflows and is supported by telemetry, context, automation and governance tools within its wider platform. Dave Patnaik, Vice President, APAC, said the appointment reflected Gray's mix of commercial and enterprise leadership, direct and indirect go-to-market experience, and knowledge of cloud and partner ecosystems. "Garry brings a strong combination of enterprise and commercial leadership, direct and indirect go-to-market experience and deep knowledge of cloud and partner ecosystems," said Dave Patnaik, Vice President, APAC, LogicMonitor. Patnaik said sustainable growth depended on strong direct execution, the right ecosystem, deep customer relationships and teams aligned around shared outcomes. "Sustainable growth rarely comes from a single route to market. It takes strong direct execution, the right ecosystem, deep customer relationships and teams aligned around shared outcomes. Garry understands how to bring those elements together. He has a strong focus on developing talent and driving high performance, with a leadership style grounded in trust, accountability and customer outcomes. I'm excited to have Garry join LogicMonitor and look forward to seeing what he and the ANZ team achieve together," Patnaik said. Regional focus Australia and New Zealand remain competitive markets for software suppliers targeting large organisations with complex IT estates. Vendors in this segment are responding to growing demand from companies looking to manage infrastructure, cloud services and digital operations through fewer tools and with more automation. For LogicMonitor, Gray's remit spans both customer expansion and partner engagement, suggesting the company sees both channels as central to its regional strategy. His experience at Red Hat, where partnerships have long been a key route to market, may prove relevant as LogicMonitor looks to deepen its position with customers and resellers across the two countries. Gray said the opportunity in the market was tied to increasing pressure on IT teams. "LogicMonitor has a significant opportunity in ANZ as organisations look for better ways to manage increasingly demanding IT environments and move towards more intelligent operations," said Garry Gray, Vice President, Australia and New Zealand, LogicMonitor. He said the company's plans in the region would depend on customer needs, partner relationships and execution by local teams. "Sustainable growth comes from understanding what customers need, building strong partner relationships and giving teams the clarity and support to execute. I'm looking forward to working with the ANZ team, our partners and our customers to build on LogicMonitor's momentum and grow the business across the region," Gray said.
LogicMonitor expands AI-assisted IT operations capabilities in Southeast Asia. LogicMonitor has announced additional capabilities for its Autonomous IT platform, including AI-assisted investigations, broader monitoring data and governance controls. The company said the features are available to customers in Southeast Asia. Its Edwin AI tools are designed to investigate incidents using application and infrastructure telemetry, including logs and cost information, and recommend next steps for IT teams. The company also said Edwin AI can be accessed through tools including Slack, Microsoft Teams and ServiceNow. LogicMonitor outlined a read-only interface intended to let compatible AI clients access monitoring information. It said identity controls, approvals, audit trails and policy controls are part of its governance approach to automating operational workflows. The company presented the updates at its Elevate 2026 event. The announcement does not establish that the platform resolves incidents autonomously under every customer configuration, and the operational impact has not been independently assessed in the release.
LogicMonitor unveils AI operating model for IT operations. Thu, 15th Oct 2026 (Today) LogicMonitor has introduced a new IT operating model centred on its Envision platform and Edwin AI, designed to help enterprises move beyond high volumes of alerts. The announcement combines infrastructure monitoring, digital experience data from Catchpoint and AI-driven investigation tools to help IT teams identify and resolve issues with more context. The model is organised around five areas: an enterprise data foundation, unified context, AI for governed action, user experience and governance controls. Together, these are intended to connect telemetry, application and infrastructure data, user impact and workflow tools so teams can move from detecting incidents to deciding on next steps. At the data layer, LogicMonitor is extending support for open standards including OpenTelemetry, along with broader application logs, cost signals and partition-level access controls. The aim is to give IT teams and AI systems a broader set of operational data to analyse across complex environments. Another part of the approach focuses on linking technical events to business services and end users. LogicMonitor's unified context maps infrastructure, applications, services, dependencies and digital experience to help teams determine which incidents matter most and who is affected. Edwin AI sits at the centre of the operating model. It carries out investigations, applies specialist knowledge across network and infrastructure operations, and suggests follow-up steps through approved workflows. Rather than limiting that activity to a single console, Edwin AI will be available in existing workplace tools including Slack, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow and command-line interfaces, as well as within LogicMonitor's own software. The company has also introduced LogicMonitor MCP for Edwin AI, which gives compatible AI clients read-only access to monitoring context and AI insights, with authentication and permissions governing access. Governance is a prominent element of the rollout. Identity controls, permissions, approvals, audit trails and policy guardrails are intended to let customers increase automation gradually while keeping human oversight in place. LogicMonitor pointed to a major customer deployment at a US federal agency as evidence of commercial traction. According to the company, the business case for that project projected a 182 per cent return on investment over three years, more than 170,000 hours of annual productivity gains, a 70 per cent reduction in downtime impact and a nine-month payback period. Prabhu Nakkeeran, Chief Technology Officer at LogicMonitor, described the shift as incremental rather than immediate. "Autonomous IT is not a switch customers flip overnight. It's a progression from trusted visibility, to better decisions, to governed action. Our AI-first platform gives teams the data and context they need to move forward at their own pace, while keeping people firmly in charge of policies, approvals, and operational risk," Nakkeeran said. Data and context LogicMonitor argues that AI systems used in IT operations need more than isolated metrics or alerts to be useful. By combining logs, cost data, infrastructure signals and digital experience information, it is seeking to create a broader operational picture for automated investigation. Karthik Sj, Chief AI Officer at LogicMonitor, said the company sees value in using AI to narrow down the operational issues with the greatest effect on the business. "AI is most valuable in IT operations when it helps teams understand what matters and take the next step with confidence. Edwin AI combines investigation with specialised expertise for network, infrastructure and the IT workflows that keep the business moving. It brings that expertise into the tools teams already use while keeping people in control of what AI can see, recommend and do. As trust builds, teams can hand more of the work to AI," Sj said. Industry backdrop The launch comes as technology suppliers increasingly argue that observability alone does not solve the operational burden created by sprawling digital estates. Large organisations often face overlapping monitoring systems, fragmented ownership of applications and infrastructure, and a growing volume of machine-generated alerts. That has created a market for tools that can connect technical telemetry with service impact and business risk, while also supporting controlled automation. LogicMonitor frames the next step after visibility as an operating model that can prioritise, investigate and recommend action within defined limits. Shannon Kalvar, Senior Research Director for AIOps at IDC, said, "Agentic operations is the engineering response to the growing complexity inherent in networked digital estates. Moving from visibility to more autonomous operations requires systems that can gather context and make bounded decisions at machine speed, while humans define the desired future state, establish governance and ensure the environment operates as intended."
LogicMonitor has unveiled a new operating model for IT that aims to move enterprises beyond the alert loop. The company announced it on October 14, 2026, at its annual conference, Elevate 2026. The model builds on LogicMonitor Envision and Edwin AI, with digital experience and internet performance data from Catchpoint. It covers five areas: data foundation, unified context, AI-led governed action, a headless experience that brings Edwin AI into tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams, and governance controls. LogicMonitor says its largest customer win, a US federal agency, projects a 182% return on investment over three years, a 70% cut in downtime impact, and a nine-month payback period. "Autonomous IT is not a switch customers flip overnight," said chief technology officer Prabhu Nakkeeran.
