The San Diego County Sheriff's Office has launched Mark43's public safety platform, replacing a 25-year-old legacy computer-aided dispatch system. The deployment serves over 3.2 million residents across 4,200 square miles and equips more than 3,000 sworn personnel, 100 dispatchers, and 100 professional staff. The Mark43 platform provides dispatchers with modern mapping, visual layers, and real-time unit locations to coordinate incidents more effectively. Deputies can access critical dispatch details on their phones and in vehicles through Mark43 First Responder. Captain Nathan Rowley noted immediate improvements in workflows and information access following the transition. The deployment follows the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department's launch earlier this year, supporting coordinated response and regional information-sharing.
