McLaren Group runs three units—McLaren Racing competing in Formula 1, McLaren Automotive making luxury sports cars, and McLaren Applied delivering technology solutions to motorsport, automotive, and other sectors. Its products work by applying race-proven engineering, data analytics, and software to design high-performance cars and deliver tech solutions via software, analytics, and hardware offerings. It differs from competitors by combining elite motorsport, road-car manufacturing, and a dedicated tech arm within one integrated ecosystem, enabling fast transfer of race tech to commercial products. Its goal is to lead in high-performance engineering across motorsport, road cars, and applied technologies, win championships, and monetize through car sales, sponsorships, and licensing.

Arrow McLaren and Greene Tweed have co-engineered a lightweight anti-roll bar lever for INDYCAR race cars using Greene Tweed's Xycomp DLF thermoplastic composite. The redesigned suspension component reduces weight by 64 grams per car whilst maintaining strength and reliability required for elite racing. The component, which helps control chassis roll during high-speed cornering, was transitioned from 7075 aluminium billet to the thermoplastic composite material. Greene Tweed worked closely with Arrow McLaren's engineering team to evaluate performance requirements, geometry and manufacturing approaches. The new anti-roll bar levers were first introduced on Nolan Siegel's No. 6 car at Barber Motorsports Park and have since been implemented across all Arrow McLaren vehicles. The project also reduced internal development workload for Arrow McLaren's engineering and production teams.
Zak Brown confirmed the completion of McLaren Racing's stake sale to Mumtalakat and CYVN, valuing the company at $4.1 billion. The sale gives the two entities 100% ownership of McLaren Racing. Brown highlighted the sport's growth, citing increased fan engagement and sponsorships. He dismissed claims that valuations have peaked, noting the sport's potential for further growth with strong demand for races and competitive dynamics.
McLaren Group Limited has acquired MSP Sports Capital's stake in McLaren Racing, including its F1 team, allowing Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company and CYVN Holding to assume full ownership. MSP's investment helped stabilize McLaren during the COVID-19 pandemic. MSP will no longer hold equity in McLaren Racing, and its board members will vacate their seats. Financial terms are confidential. MSP Sports Capital, founded in 2019, invests in global sports, including European football clubs.
McLaren Racing is valued at over £3 billion as Mumtalakat and CYVN Holdings acquire a 30% stake from MSP Sports Capital, Ares, UBS O'Connor, and others. This deal gives Gulf investors full ownership and marks a significant return for MSP, which invested in 2020 at a £560 million valuation. The valuation reflects McLaren's financial recovery and Formula One success. Mumtalakat remains the controlling shareholder, simplifying ownership of the iconic motorsport brand.
Mumtalakat and CYVN Holdings are buying out the minority stakes in McLaren Racing owned by MSP Sports Capital and other investors at a valuation underlining its resurgent performance, Sky News can exclusively reveal.
