MyCarrier has created a transportation management system (TMS) that streamlines the shipping process for businesses. The platform acts as a central hub where shippers can manage their freight and connect with a network of carriers. Users can easily compare quotes from various carriers, book shipments, and track their progress in real-time, which enhances visibility and control over their supply chain. The user-friendly interface allows for straightforward navigation and shipment management. MyCarrier operates on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription model, providing a consistent revenue stream while allowing for ongoing improvements to the platform. The company primarily targets small and medium-sized businesses that may lack the resources to create their own logistics solutions, aiming to empower these businesses to compete effectively in the logistics industry.

Shipping and logistics remain profitable tech ventures. At least, that appears to be the case with the closing of MyCarrier’s Series B today. A startup with a freight shipping platform for small- and mid-sized shippers, MyCarrier raised $22 million in a venture round led by NewRoads Capital with participation from Greycroft and Lerer Hippeau. CEO Michael Bookout indicated that the new cash will go toward expanding and accelerating MyCarrier’s platform offerings and investing in its product, R&D and go-to-market teams. “From the beginning, our vision and approach were based on strong partnering, working hand-in-hand with carrier partners and customers to streamline the carrier and shipper experience to create exceptional business and customer outcomes,” he said in a press release
MyCarrier, a software company with a less-than-truckload transportation management system for small and midsize shippers, announced Tuesday morning that it had raised an $8 million Series A venture capital round led by Greycroft and Lerer Hippeau.
