Ninja Van Malaysia revs up warehouse operations with Zebra Technologies.

Ninja Van Malaysia revs up warehouse operations with Zebra Technologies. July 15, 2026 Ninja Van Malaysia, which serves nearly 25 million recipients nationwide, has modernized its fulfilment operations with Zebra's warehousing solutions. As the company scaled to serve both e-commerce and B2B clients, the complexity of its fulfilment operations grew. This created a need for agile, automated solutions to keep pace with high order volumes, diverse client requirements, and time-critical dispatch schedules without peak-period lag. To consolidate workflows, Ninja Van Malaysia implemented the cloud-native AC2 WAVE Warehouse Management System (WMS) in partnership with Zebra PartnerConnect independent software vendor (ISV) AC2 WAVE. To ensure seamless execution on the warehouse floor, the company deployed Zebra's TC2 series mobile computers, giving warehouse workers mobile access to the WMS, as well as Zebra's ZD200 series desktop printers. This integrated solution connects the frontline from picking to final dispatch. Workers use the TC2 devices for real-time guidance on inventory locations, improving asset visibility. After picking, items are labelled at packing stations using ZD200 printers. Ninja Van utilizes both thermal transfer and direct thermal technology within the ZD200 series to support specific operational use cases, instantly producing the accurate labels needed for correct parcel routing. "With faster scanning and a system that keeps everything flowing seamlessly, our operations are now smoother, more efficient, and truly exceptional," said Tzi Zhao Lee, director of supply chain and partnerships, Ninja Van Malaysia. "Instead of waiting for the system to catch up, things just move. I can now spend less time at the warehouse troubleshooting, as things take care of themselves. There is less frustration, people are happier, and they keep their momentum going throughout the shift," he said. This combined strength of Zebra devices and AC2 WAVE WMS has driven a noticeable improvement in operational speed and accuracy. Operators are now comfortably handling 30 to 60 scans per minute - effectively doubling previous scanning speeds as they rapidly process individual items across thousands of daily orders. Further, the ZD200 printers helped ensure that labels remain legible throughout the delivery journey, contributing to the "virtual elimination" of customer complaints regarding missed or delayed deliveries. "Ninja Van Malaysia's success demonstrates how equipping the connected frontline with the right technology can help logistics providers modernize operations at scale," said Joelle Booi, country lead for Singapore, Zebra Technologies. "By combining Zebra's warehousing solutions with the robust AC2 WAVE WMS, it has helped enable Ninja Van to overcome peak-volume challenges, improve workforce productivity, and deliver more reliable service for customers," she said. - Advertisement -

Ninja Van's revenue drops 3% to $702M, losses narrow 32% in FY2025

Ninja Van's revenue declined 3% to $702 million for the fiscal year ended June 2025, marking its second consecutive year of decline, whilst losses before tax improved 32% to $102 million. CEO Lai Chang Wen attributed the revenue drop to disciplined pricing and customer selection amid intense regional competition. The Singapore-based logistics firm has reduced operating costs significantly over the past 18 to 24 months and expanded into B2B logistics and cold chain services. According to Momentum Works, SPX Express, J&T Express and Lazada Logistics now control 67% of Southeast Asia's parcel volume, with Ninja Van among smaller players that have limited pricing power as e-commerce platforms increasingly rely on in-house delivery fleets.
