Noisy Creek

Acquires and revitalizes alt-weekly newspapers

Overview

Noisy Creek buys and revitalizes local alt-weeklies to sustain neighborhood journalism. It keeps publications locally managed, provides capital and a stable business framework, and preserves editorial independence. Revenue comes from ads, subscriptions, philanthropy, and synergies from acquisitions, plus services like EverOut and Bold Type Tickets that share fees as advertising credit with partner venues. The goal is to build a decentralized network of independent, financially stable local papers.
