OLG partners with Bede Gaming for new mobile app. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has partnered with Bede Gaming to launch a new mobile app built on React Native technology, marking a significant upgrade to its digital offerings. This development comes as OLG competes in Ontario's robust regulated iGaming market, which includes 47 licensed private operators alongside its own Proline platform. Ontario's regulated market is notable for its effectiveness in minimizing the grey market, with only 19% of estimated revenue attributed to unlicensed operators, compared to a national average of 66%, according to Blask market research. This competitive environment has driven OLG to enhance its mobile experience, and the new app represents a key advancement in that effort. The React Native app is optimized for seamless omnichannel performance, ensuring a smooth user experience even during high-traffic periods. This technological upgrade supports OLG's strategy to deliver personalized and engaging experiences, which are critical for player retention in a highly competitive market. Dave Pridmore, Chief Gaming Officer at OLG, commented on the successful transition: 'Gamblers Post is delighted with how quickly and efficiently the transition to Bede's React Native app has been - and the fact there's been no disruption for its existing OLG.ca players speaks volumes about the impressive teamwork shown on both sides.' He further noted, 'The intuitive experience built and well-considered support are representative of the high quality of work Gamblers Post has come to expect from its partners at Bede Gaming.' Pridmore also pointed out the app's flexibility, stating that the foundation provided by Bede Gaming allows OLG to quickly adapt and enhance the app across different devices, ensuring it remains aligned with evolving player behaviors. Andrew Humphreys, Chief Product Engineering Officer at Bede Gaming, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: 'The successful roll-out of its React Native App is testament to Bede's continued commitment to its partnership with OLG and further proof of the passion Gamblers Post has for providing operational efficiencies to their team.' He added, 'I'm excited about the additional competitive value that its Bede App will be able to offer; its flexible and cost-efficient solution will empower OLG to expand their outreach and capabilities in the mobile-first market.' With this new app, OLG continues to focus on enhancing player experiences and driving digital growth, reinforcing its leadership in Ontario's thriving iGaming sector.
