Rise Robotics designs and sells electro-mechanical drive systems that replace traditional hydraulic components in industrial machinery for customers such as Tier 1 suppliers, OEMs, and the U.S. DoD. The products are compact, high-performance drives that integrate into existing equipment; the company works closely with clients to tailor the system and provides installation support and ongoing service. It stands apart by a strict focus on hydraulic replacement with customized solutions instead of off-the-shelf parts, prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainable operation, including defense applications. Its goal is to raise industry standards by delivering customized, efficient systems that boost performance while cutting power use and maintenance needs.

Welcoming Justin Shriver, its new Head of Software Engineering. RISE Robotics is thrilled to announce that Justin Shriver has joined RISE as Head of Software Engineering. Justin brings 15+ years leading software teams at iRobot, GE Energy, Dresser, and TRW Automotive. His strength is building safety-critical systems - the kind of software that requires zero margin of error. At iRobot, he led the SLAM and Perception team behind the localization and machine learning that lets autonomous robots navigate the real world. At TRW Automotive, he designed stability control systems for production vehicle programs, including the Ford Windstar / Aerostar and GM Escalade / Yukon. Justin holds a Master's in Control Systems from the University of Michigan in addition to 15 patents. Justin's focus for the last decade and a half has been consistent: make autonomous machines both smarter and safer. This is critical for its work at RISE, where Justin now leads the software behind every Beltdraulic(TM) cylinder and machine RISE Robotics ship. Its team keeps getting stronger, and its machines keep getting smarter. The opportunity to invest in that growth is here.
Superpowers for Good featured Rise Robotics as an impact offering of the Week! Rise Robotics has been featured on Superpowers for Good before - on the podcast, during its live pitch, and last summer, Rise Robotics even walked away with their Judges' Choice Award. This week, they featured Rise Robotics as one of their Impact Offerings of the Week. Superpowers for Good is a publication and podcast hosted by bestselling author Devin Thorpe, dedicated to celebrating entrepreneurs solving the world's toughest problems. Every week, they spotlight crowdfunding campaigns making real impact and share them with their 10,000+ community of impact investors and changemakers. From their feature: "The company is revolutionizing heavy machinery through its proprietary Beltdraulic(TM) motion control technology, a fluid-free actuator system that delivers faster, more efficient, and more durable performance than traditional hydraulics. RISE Robotics has already generated $9.7 million in product and contract revenue, with a current backlog exceeding $2.5 million, and was recognized as the #1 Regulation Crowdfunding campaign of 2025." Rise Robotics is grateful for this validation that Rise Robotics is making a positive impact on industries and its planet, and Rise Robotics is grateful to all of its investors for believing in its mission and fueling its progress.
The year everything shifted. Rise Robotics just released the Season 6 premiere of the RISE Inside Podcast. This episode breaks down what Rise Robotics actually got done over the past year - turning engineering possibility into commercial reality. A few of the highlights: * Its first commercial sale marked a real shift * What's actually changing in the product * Where Rise Robotics is seeing traction right now * What Rise Robotics is focused on next This wasn't a quiet year. It was a shift from proving the technology to putting it to work. If you want a clear picture of where RISE stands today, this is the most direct update Rise Robotics has shared. Appreciate everyone who's been following and supporting along the way. If you want to be part of what comes next, now is the right moment. RISE Robotics has been named the number one Regulation Crowdfunding campaign of 2025 by Kingscrowd, raising over $5.3 million from more than 2,200 investors. The company develops Beltdraulic, a fluid-free electric actuation system for heavy machinery. RISE ranked first among over 1,000 Reg CF campaigns nationwide, making it the largest such raise in the US in 2025. Only nine companies reached the $5 million cap under Regulation Crowdfunding last year. The Somerville-based startup achieved several milestones in 2025, including earning a Guinness World Record for the world's strongest robotic arm prototype, securing contracts with the US Army and Air Force worth $3 million, and delivering its first commercial cylinder. The company is raising on Wefunder platform.
Last week at the iVT Expo in Cologne, Germany, it felt like the show was made for Rise Robotics.
