The results accompanied a run of new deals for Reservoir, headlined by a publishing agreement with hip-hop star T.I. that spans his entire publishing catalog and future works. Reservoir also deepened its position in Latin music, acquiring the catalogs of Nacional Records and its publishing arm Canciones Nacionales and forming a joint venture to sign and develop artists and songwriters. The company additionally entered a joint venture with Latin music company TU Publishing and partnered with U.K. A&R executive Ollie Hodge to bring his label Some Action under its recorded music operations. On the earnings call, CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi tied the Latin push to the region's growth, citing IFPI data showing Latin America revenues grew 17.1% in 2025, its 16th consecutive year of growth. Reservoir also added songwriter-producer Adam Kapit to its publishing roster, and signed alt-pop/rock artist Jarrett Doherty as the first signing via a new JV with Tinman, the publishing company founded by Reservoir writer Sam Tinnesz. "We delivered a strong first quarter of fiscal 2027, with robust performance across both our Publishing and Recorded Music segments, underscoring the strength of our portfolio and the continued success of our strategy," said Golnar Khosrowshahi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Reservoir. "Whether signing marquee talent such as T.I., expanding our recorded music business with key frontline partners like Some Action, or establishing a stronger foothold in high-growth markets like Latin music, we have demonstrated a commitment to diversifying our business while ensuring we identify partners that share our long-term vision and dedication to creative stewardship." "WE ARE ENCOURAGED BY OUR RECENT MOMENTUM AND REMAIN CONFIDENT IN OUR ABILITY TO EXECUTE ON ATTRACTIVE OPPORTUNITIES, DEEPEN OUR GLOBAL PLATFORM, AND UNLOCK NEW VALUE FOR THE REMAINDER OF FISCAL 2027." Golnar Khosrowshahi, Reservoir Reservoir reiterated its full-year fiscal 2027 guidance. The company expects revenue of $186 million to $191 million, implying 7% growth at the midpoint. Adjusted EBITDA guidance stands at $75 million to $79 million, implying 5% growth at the midpoint. "Our strong first quarter performance was in line with our expectations, driven by top-line growth and disciplined cost containment, and provides a solid foundation for the remainder of fiscal 2027," said Jim Heindlmeyer, Chief Financial Officer of Reservoir. "Our strong first quarter performance was in line with our expectations, driven by top-line growth and disciplined cost containment, and provides a solid foundation for the remainder of fiscal 2027." Jim Heindlmeyer, Reservoir Heindlmeyer added that the company's "healthy cash flow generation and balance sheet flexibility" continues to support "strategic investments in new creators, notably in high-growth emerging markets," and that it remains "on track to achieve" its full-year guidance. Reservoir's results arrive with a Special Committee of its board still evaluating two take-private proposals disclosed in March. Activist investor Irenic Capital Management proposed $10.00 to $11.00 per share, while existing shareholders Wesbild and Richmond Hill Investments made a rival bid of $10.50 per share. On the earnings call, Khosrowshahi confirmed that the Special Committee of independent and disinterested directors, formed in March, has engaged Morgan Stanley & Co. as its financial adviser and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz as legal counsel, but said the company had "no additional updates to share today."Music Business Worldwide

Reservoir announces A joint venture with U.K. A&R executive Ollie Hodge and his label, Some Action. Partnership expands Reservoir frontline label operations out of London. Reservoir Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSVR), an award-winning independent music company, today announced a new joint venture with U.K. A&R executive Ollie Hodge to bring his frontline record label, Some Action, under Reservoir's label operations. Based out of the Reservoir and Chrysalis Records London office, Some Action will further expand Reservoir's global recorded music business, operating alongside iconic independent labels Chrysalis and Tommy Boy Music, as well as Reservoir Recordings, while reinforcing the company's continued investment in artist development and frontline repertoire. Hodge has built a reputation as one of the U.K.'s leading A&R executives, holding previous creative roles at Columbia Records, Warner Chappell, and Polydor. Throughout his career, he has worked with artists including George Ezra, Glass Animals, The Vaccines, Glasvegas, Passion Pit, Declan McKenna, MGMT, Holly Humberstone, Madeon, Gossip, Years & Years, and more. In 2024, Hodge launched Some Action, releasing Good Neighbours' debut single, "Home," which became a Platinum single in the U.K. and U.S. and helped to propel the band to a nomination for the Rising Star Award at the 2025 Brit Awards. Most recently, Hodge served as an A&R on the latest Mumford & Sons' albums, Rushmere and Prizefighter, both of which debuted at #1 in the U.K. Building on Hodge's track record for identifying and developing talent, Some Action has already signed three artists: McGrath, JP O'Grady, and L Devine. McGrath is an emerging artist and songwriter, whose early releases have generated a wave of support in his native Ireland and earned him a slot at Ireland Music Week, in advance of his first headline tour of the U.K. and Ireland in November, with a debut EP planned for 2027. JP O'Grady is a Scottish-American singer-songwriter and producer, whose music channels raw honesty into bold, melodic storytelling. His latest EP is planned for the fall and was preceded by the single "I'm A Mess," which combines O'Grady's trademark self-effacing lyricism and his ear for an unforgettable hook. British singer-songwriter L Devine has been preparing her second album, working alongside producer Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Dijon, Mk.gee). The LP is L Devine's most ambitious offering to date, showcasing an artist confidently finding her voice and stepping into a new creative chapter with clarity, conviction, and renewed purpose. Hodge commented, "Since founding Some Action, we have been thoughtful about who we sign, searching for and backing artists with a strong sense of identity and the ambition to help them to build lasting careers. JP O'Grady, L Devine, and McGrath are exciting talents, and I'm proud to have them helping shape the spirit of Some Action and putting their trust in us." Some Action's team also includes General Manager Charlie Shawcross and A&R Dillon Hall, who joins from his previous role at Common Knowledge Records. Shawcross has overseen marketing campaigns for a wide range of artists, most recently at Communion, working with Wunderhorse from their first single through to the release of their second album, and at Columbia Records, working with Harry Styles, Arcade Fire, Kasabian and Brittany Howard, among many others. The experience, expertise, and passion Hodge, Shawcross, and Hall bring to Some Action position the label well to discover, develop, and grow the next generation of artists in the U.K and beyond. Hodge added, "I'm also honored to be representing another facet of Reservoir's frontline music strategy alongside the incredible existing legacy of Chrysalis. We have such a strong vision about where we want to take Some Action, and Reservoir really shares our philosophy. Their combination of understanding how to support indie creativity with their global infrastructure and expertise makes them the perfect partner to help Some Action and our artists reach their full potential." Reservoir President and Chief Operating Officer Rell Lafargue commented, "This partnership is another important step in the evolution of Reservoir's recorded music business, pairing Ollie's creative instincts with Chrysalis' label platform and our global resources to help emerging artists build lasting careers. In an age of data-driven A&R and labels chasing viral hits, Ollie is a real music-first guy, focused on the quality of the music and the artist's vision, sound, and songs. That's rare today, and we value it. We're proud to welcome Ollie and Some Action to the Reservoir family."

Reservoir acquires catalogs of Latin music company Nacional, strikes JV to develop artists & songwriters. July 16, 2026 Reservoir Media has acquired the catalog of independent label Nacional Records, along with the catalog of its publishing arm, Canciones Nacionales. Reservoir and Nacional will also enter a joint venture to sign and develop recording artists and songwriters, according to an announcement on Thursday (July 16). The deal expands the Nasdaq-listed company's presence in Latin music, adding Nacional's recorded and publishing catalogs while establishing a long-term partnership between the two companies. Reservoir did not disclose financial terms of the acquisition. Nacional Records was founded in Los Angeles in 2005 by Tomas Cookman. Its roster and catalog include Ana Tijoux, Nortec Collective, Bomba Estereo, Tom Tom Club, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, Aterciopelados, DJ Bitman, YADAM, La Vida Boheme, Jungle Fire and Cheo. The label has also released albums from Manu Chao, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Jarabe de Palo and Los Amigos Invisibles. Nacional earned its first Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Album in 2007 with Aterciopelados' Oye, and the label says its catalog has since collected more than 100 Grammy and Latin Grammy wins and nominations. Last year, the Los Angeles Times described Nacional as "the defining voice of Latin alternative in the U.S." Cookman said: "I have long been a fan of what Golnar and Rell have built at Reservoir. We initially met a few years ago and developed a mutual respect for each other's work, until it became obvious that we should now build together." "We look forward to working together to expand the Reservoir footprint in Latin music and culture." Tomas Cookman Added Cookman: "I feel we share the same work ethic and, equally as important, a love of music and the industry that supports it. I look forward to what comes next for our current and future artists and writers. We look forward to working together to expand the Reservoir footprint in Latin music and culture." Reservoir President and Chief Operating Officer Rell Lafargue added: "Over the last two decades, Nacional has cemented itself as one of the most influential independent music companies in the Latin market, with an incredible catalog and exceptional talent." "Over the last two decades, Nacional has cemented itself as one of the most influential independent music companies in the Latin market, with an incredible catalog and exceptional talent." Rell Lafargue, Reservoir Added Lafargue: "We've been deliberate about expanding Reservoir's presence in Latin music, and this partnership is a transformational step in that strategy. "It strengthens both our recorded music and publishing businesses while positioning us to invest in the next generation of Latin artists and songwriters. We're proud to welcome Nacional to Reservoir and continue building on its remarkable legacy." The deal marks the latest in a run of Latin music moves by Reservoir. Latin music remains one of the fastest-growing segments of the US market, generating over $1 billion in wholesale recorded music revenues in the United States in 2025. Beyond Nacional, Cookman founded the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), a networking and showcase event for Latin music in the US. The 2026 edition of LAMC runs from July 28 to August 1 at the InterContinental New York Times Square, and Reservoir has joined as a sponsor. Cookman is also a partner in Magnus Talent Agency, a booking and management firm. Alongside its publishing business, Reservoir represents recorded music through Chrysalis Records, Tommy Boy Music and Philly Groove Records, and manages artists through its ventures with Blue Raincoat Music and Big Life Management.Music Business Worldwide
