Overview

Resources for Community Development (RCD) is a Bay Area nonprofit real estate developer that builds, owns, and preserves affordable housing for low-income people, seniors, and those with special needs. It acquires sites, assembles mixed public and private funding (including VHHP), and develops or preserves housing, while offering on-site resident services that support stability, health, economic security, and youth programs. RCD sets itself apart by pairing affordable housing with community development and advocacy through a dedicated department, focusing on long-term financial health of properties and neighborhood improvement as a whole. Its goal is to provide permanently affordable homes for vulnerable residents and to act as a catalyst for positive community change.
