Overview

The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation supports artists and arts organizations with grants, residencies, commissions, and emergency funds, while expanding understanding of Robert Rauschenberg’s life and work. It backs small- to mid-size, often socially engaged and experimental arts groups through partnerships and fellowships, as well as global exhibitions and publications. Programs flow through an Artists Council and collaborators to provide thinking time, new commissions, healthcare support, and ongoing projects aligned with equity. It differentiates itself by embracing interdisciplinary collaboration, chance, and a commitment to equity and social change, reflecting Rauschenberg’s ethos while sustaining artists across disciplines.
