Sea Machines

Sea Machines

Autonomous vessel control systems and USVs

Overview

Sea Machines Robotics develops autonomous control, remote-command, and perception systems for maritime vessels. Its hardware and software retrofit or integrate into existing ships, with SM200 for remote-helm control and SM300 for autonomous command and control, plus SM300-NG APIs, a cloud fleet-management platform called FLEETVIEWER, and turnkey unmanned surface vessels. The systems enable computer-guided navigation, obstacle avoidance, remote mission management, and data sharing for maintenance and operations, with options for direct sales or leasing. The goal is to improve safety, efficiency, and capability of commercial vessel operations while expanding into defense work and government contracts.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • June 10, 2026 bookings were up 10x year over year.
  • Sea Machines added six times more new customers in 2026 year to date.
  • MUSV at-sea testing began in June 2026, opening $15 million follow-on awards.

What critics are saying

  • Sea Machines still needs Navy MUSV wins by October 2026 to validate defense scale.
  • Leidos, Saronic, and HII intensify procurement competition for the same Pentagon budgets.
  • If 2026 bookings stay concentrated in Navy programs, a single rejection crushes momentum.

What makes Sea Machines unique

  • Sea Machines retrofits SM300 autonomy onto 10-300 foot vessels without new hulls.
  • STEAMRACER entered Navy MASC final evaluation on February 18, 2026.
  • FleetViewer turns SM300 telemetry into fleet analytics, strengthening recurring software revenue.

MUSV at-sea testing limited to seven selectees but could re-open if Navy wants USVs with different requirements. Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 While the Navy does not plan to add to the seven companies chosen for at-sea prototype testing of Medium Unmanned Surface Vessels (MUSVs) this year, the marketplace could re-open for other USVs with different requirements. The Navy last week announced it selected Sea Machines, Leidos [LDOS], Saronic Technologies, Galliano Marine Services, PacMar Technologies, Birdon and HII [HII] out of over two dozen entrants for the MUSV Family of Systems marketplace program (Defense Daily, June 2). The current MUSV approach is... Not a subscriber or registered user yet?
