Shift Logistics Platform runs a London-based logistics technology marketplace that connects customers with a network of self-employed drivers and fleet operators to provide on-demand delivery and moving services. How it works: its online platform uses intelligent algorithms to match a customer’s delivery needs with the most suitable driver from its network, handling everything from a single item to the contents of an entire home, with revenue coming from marketplace commissions. How it differentiates itself: it focuses on flexible, on-demand moving and delivery by leveraging a driver network and technology to offer a cheaper alternative to traditional couriers, along with strategic partnerships (for example with IKEA) and growth through acquisitions. The company’s goal is to make moving and delivering goods easier and cheaper by connecting customers with reliable drivers and fleet operators through a scalable, tech-driven marketplace.
