Shinesty has launched what it claims is the world's first fart-blocking underwear fabric, designed to neutralise odours. The product converts odour-causing gas into odourless salts using an embedded electrostatic treatment that targets molecules responsible for foul smells. The underwear was co-developed with Swiss scientists at Livinguard Technologies over five years. Third-party testing by Intertek verified the fabric neutralises up to 99% of odour. The treatment recharges after washing. Founded in 2014, Shinesty is known for its Ball Hammock pouch underwear and humour-driven products. The company has sold over nine million pairs of underwear. The fart-blocking range is available now, including an XTREME option with triple-layered fabric. According to a University of Maryland study, the average person farts 32 times daily.
