Sol de Janeiro taps into jelly trend with first solid fragrance launch

Sol de Janeiro taps into jelly trend with first solid fragrance launch. Sol de Janeiro has expanded its fragrance offering with the launch of its first-ever solid scent, Jelly Perfume Balm. Launched in three of the Brazilian-inspired brand's signature accents - Cheriosa 62, Cheriosa 68 and Cheriosa 40 - the fragrance is said to glide onto skin to deliver a concentrated scent that lasts up to ten hours. The product comes as jelly formulas continue to grow in popularity across beauty, increasingly seen in blush and lip colour formulations, but Sol de Janeiro has set out to bring this fun formula to the world of fragrance. Heather Forcari, Executive Director of Global Education for the brand, told Cosmetics Business: "We loved the sensorial nature of jelly textures and wanted to translate that into fragrance because it makes scent feel more intuitive and modern. "A jelly balm [in a] solid format lets you apply fragrance directly to skin in a way that feels active and personal. "Our Jelly Perfume Balms let you swipe, layer and go, wherever you are, turning fragrance into something tactile and ritual-driven rather than just a spray in the air." The alcohol-free balm is also said to enter a completely new territory from a formulaic level.
