Syniverse provides global connectivity and engagement services through a Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS). It helps mobile network operators, enterprises, and service providers connect with customers by offering secure mobile messaging, customer engagement platforms, and revenue-optimization tools. The CPaaS lets clients integrate multiple messaging channels (such as SMS and WhatsApp) into their systems, with usage-based pricing and scalable, secure infrastructure that reaches customers worldwide. Compared with competitors, Syniverse emphasizes a broad, secure global network and end-to-end engagement capabilities designed for operators and large businesses, rather than focusing on a single channel or niche solution. Its overall goal is to help clients reach and engage customers reliably at scale, while improving messaging effectiveness and monetization opportunities.

Syniverse has become the first roaming services provider to achieve compliance with GSMA's Billing and Charging Evolution (BCE) 2.0, the newest standard for wholesale roaming and settlement. The technology is built into Syniverse's Universal Commerce solution, which is deployed by 90% of BCE-compliant operators worldwide. BCE 2.0 introduces support for operator groups, creates a report structure for 5G Standalone traffic exchange, and establishes invoice confidentiality. It extends beyond traditional consumer roaming to cover NB-IoT, LTE-M traffic, and satellite operators. Kaleido Intelligence projects BCE will handle over 40% of global consumer and IoT wholesale roaming settlements by 2030. To support the transition, Syniverse has introduced its Platinum Package, offering scalable charging models for 5G SA and comprehensive end-to-end BCE support.
Syniverse recognized by Juniper Research for excellence in billing, settlement, and Satellite Connectivity. Syniverse has once again been recognized by Juniper Research for its leadership in global telecommunications, earning a Platinum Award for Best Billing and Charging Evolution (BCE) Platform Solution and a Gold Award for Best Satellite Connectivity Solution in the 2026 Future Digital Awards for Telco Innovation. The Platinum Award marks a third consecutive win for Syniverse's clearing and settlement capabilities, with its Universal Commerce platform continuing to set the benchmark for BCE-compliant operators. Universal Commerce enables mobile network operators to manage, clear, and settle roaming transactions in real time, using blockchain-based smart contracts to streamline complex financial processes. The platform is now deployed by 90% of BCE-compliant MNOs, reflecting its scale and reliability across the industry. Juniper Research also recognized Syniverse's newly launched Satellite Services with a Gold Award, highlighting the company's expanding role in non-terrestrial network connectivity. Satellite Services extends Syniverse's proven interoperability across terrestrial and satellite networks, allowing satellite network operators to access messaging, signaling, roaming, and billing infrastructure without the need for costly core-system rebuilds. The solution supports legacy devices and simplifies commercial relationships through integrated settlement frameworks. "Independent evaluations continue to show that Syniverse leads in the areas that matter most to operators," said Andrew Davies, CEO of Syniverse. "Universal Commerce and Satellite Services provide the stability and commercial readiness our customers expect as connectivity continues to evolve." Syniverse's satellite implementations include projects supporting Skylo and Verizon for two-way messaging, integration with Iridium for direct-to-device and narrowband IoT traffic, and a billing framework for Sateliot. Together, these initiatives demonstrate how Syniverse is building the foundation for next-generation communications. Juniper Research's Future Digital Awards recognize organizations that influence the direction of telecommunications through innovation, performance, and proven market impact. Syniverse will showcase its Universal Commerce and Satellite Services solutions at MWC Barcelona from March 2 - 5.
