T1D Exchange is a nonprofit that advances research and care for type 1 diabetes. It uses data and collaboration to identify gaps in what data exists and what care needs aren’t being met, then helps refine best practices to improve treatment and the quality of life for people with T1D. The way it works is by collecting and analyzing data from people with T1D and from researchers and clinics, turning that information into insights that guide care improvements, research priorities, and quality-improvement efforts. Unlike groups that only publish findings, T1D Exchange focuses on translating data into actionable changes in care and research through partnerships and quality-improvement initiatives. Its goal is to accelerate better treatments, prevention efforts, and everyday support to people living with T1D.
