Teleport provides cross-border air logistics in Southeast Asia by combining AirAsia’s cargo space with its own freighters and capacity from partner airlines to move shipments quickly and affordably for businesses. It uses a hybrid network that includes exclusive access to AirAsia's belly space, owned freighters, and capacity from 40+ partner airlines, enabling end-to-end pickup, warehousing, last-mile delivery, and, in some markets, in-house sorting, trucking, and customs clearance. Unlike carriers relying on a single asset base, Teleport blends owned assets with partner capacity to keep costs down while offering next-day delivery across a unified Southeast Asia network, including hubs and smaller cities. Its goal is to simplify and speed up cross-border logistics in the region by delivering reliable, affordable, scalable air freight and e-commerce delivery solutions.

Avalon Airport announces new deal with Teleport. * Avalon Airport Melbourne and Teleport are establishing a strategic operations hub to strengthen cargo and e-commerce connectivity between major Asian trade lanes and Oceania. Phase one is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, initially handling e-commerce volumes from China. * The partnership is designed to support faster and more reliable cross-border e-commerce, using Avalon's curfew-free capacity, dedicated freight infrastructure and rapid turnaround times. It will give Teleport an alternative gateway alongside major Australian airports such as Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. * The hub could diversify Australia's freight capacity and strengthen Victoria's logistics position, while supporting Teleport's wider network expansion. With operations across more than 290 cities in 80 countries and over 55 airline partners, Teleport sees secondary hubs as an important driver of future air cargo growth. Avalon Airport Melbourne and Teleport have announced a strategic partnership to establish Teleport's latest strategic operations hub at Avalon Airport. The agreement marks a significant milestone in Avalon's international cargo strategy and strengthens Teleport's air network reach to better support cargo and eCommerce movement between major Asian trade lanes and Oceania through Avalon's dedicated air freight infrastructure. The new hub will enable faster and more efficient movement of international e-commerce shipments into Australia. In 2025, Australians spent nearly $18.9 billion, up 13 per cent year on year, on pure online marketplace platforms. It will support Teleport's growing customer portfolio, including major e-commerce marketplaces in China, by providing faster and more reliable access to Australian consumers. Ari Suss, Chief Executive Officer of Avalon Airport Melbourne, said the partnership demonstrated the airport's growing role in international freight and logistics. "This partnership with Teleport is a significant step forward for Avalon's international cargo strategy and our ambition to become a leading freight and logistics gateway," Mr Suss said. "Teleport has chosen Avalon because we can offer the capacity, speed and flexibility needed to support a fast-growing e-commerce network. Together, we are building a long-term logistics partnership that will strengthen international trade connections and create new opportunities for Victoria." Pete Chareonwongsak, Chief Executive Officer of Teleport, said Avalon offered the right fit for Teleport's growth plans. "Establishing our latest strategic operations hub at Avalon Airport Melbourne is a deliberate move to strengthen the Teleport Network in Oceania. Cross-border e-commerce requires rapid, specialised processing, and our customers need faster, more reliable connectivity. Avalon Airport is the right fit because it delivers curfew-free capacity processing, fast turnarounds and the flexibility to handle eCommerce alongside general cargo." Mr Chareonwongsak said. "This partnership is a clear win-win: Teleport brings strong e-commerce volume and regional network reach, whilst Avalon provides the dedicated infrastructure needed as a stronger freight gateway for Victoria. Our proven history of scaling throughput across primary hubs like Kuala Lumpur, and secondary hubs like Don Mueang, and Phuket in Thailand and Bali in Indonesia, gives us full confidence in the massive potential this partnership will deliver for the region. We believe secondary hubs are a proven engine for air cargo growth." Teleport currently moves cargo into primary Australian airports, namely Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, from key Asian origin markets including China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Vietnam. Establishing Avalon as a strategic operations hub marks the next phase of Teleport's global network expansion across Oceania, the Middle East, and Europe alongside its airline partners. The partnership leverages an alternative international freight gateway capable of supporting high-growth e-commerce logistics as international freight volumes expand. It also has the potential to diversify Australia's freight capacity, strengthen Victoria's international trade links and support continued growth in the state's logistics sector. Teleport expects to kick-off phase one of operations in the second half of 2026, initially moving e-commerce volumes from China into Avalon. Teleport currently operates in over 290 cities in 80 countries across Asia Pacific and beyond, working with more than 55 partner airlines. Since it was founded in 2018, Teleport has scaled its infrastructure and asset-light Teleport Network(R) to rank #1 within Southeast Asia and #9 in Asia by volume (WorldACD). Capital A's Teleport and THG to build Customs Documentation System on Hedera. The proof of concept will first target Malaysian trade lanes where documentation gaps and multi-party handovers can delay cross-border shipments. Get the hottest Fintech Malaysia News once a month in your Inbox Teleport, the logistics venture of Capital A, has partnered with Swiss Web3 engineering firm The Hashgraph Group (THG) to co-develop a Digital Customs Documentation System (DCDS). Built on the Hedera network, the system will digitise and manage the full customs document lifecycle for cross-border trade, with a proof of concept focusing on eCommerce movements and behaviour. The project addresses persistent bottlenecks in Southeast Asian supply chains. Through the Capital A's Teleport and Hedera collaboration, the partners intend to provide a verifiable and immutable source of truth for all shipping events. The DCDS is built on three core technical pillars: immutable event recording via Hedera's distributed ledger technology (DLT), integration with the TradeTrust framework for legally recognised electronic trade documents, and AI-assisted Harmonised System (HS) code validation to improve classification accuracy. Milan Dhingra, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Teleport, said, "Fintech News see opportunities to improve risk assessment and lower administrative costs as well as enhance the overall customer experience by unlocking and untangling what Fintech News can in its supply chain. The success of this solution will allow Fintech News to systematically be faster, cheaper and better, continuously." The system will use the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to manage customs records, initially focusing on Malaysian cross-border lanes and high-volume domestic by-air routes. Teleport, which moved over 167 million parcels across Asia Pacific in 2025, aims to replace traditional logistics handovers with a digital-first approach to reduce documentation errors and disputes. The integration also incorporates THG's TrackTrace solution. This provides immutable data audit trails, traceability, and end-to-end transparency through cryptographically verified decentralised identifiers (DIDs). Stefan Deiss, Co-Founder and CEO of The Hashgraph Group, said, "Fintech News is excited to be working with Teleport on this state-of-the-art cross-border shipment logistics system that significantly enhances and streamlines the entire lifecycle of e-commerce parcels, from initial processing and accurate documentation to comprehensive tracking and final delivery. Fintech News is tackling a long-standing challenge in cross-border trade by reducing complexity and delays associated with customs documentation, leveraging agentic automation with lightning-fast transaction speed."
The Hashgraph Group and Teleport, Capital A's logistics venture, are co-developing a Digital Customs Documentation System to digitise cross-border trade documentation for Southeast Asian e-commerce. The system addresses persistent customs challenges, with research showing 43% of organisations cite shipments delayed in customs. The platform combines three core capabilities: immutable shipping records using Hedera's distributed ledger technology, integration with TradeTrust framework for legally recognised electronic trade documents, and AI-assisted Harmonised System code validation for improved classification accuracy. Teleport moved over 167 million parcels across Asia Pacific in 2025. The proof of concept, targeting Malaysian cross-border lanes and domestic air routes, is planned for completion in the first half of 2027, with potential for global expansion to customs authorities worldwide.
